Maybe when we get retail and there are mobs designed around shielding for most damage. Y'know like mobs are weak to technics or physical damage or ranged? I don't play the import one so maybe they don't exist with a weakness to Shield strikes, but maybe.

You could be right. So far the shield is awesome for lower levels because of our armor choices, but it could get to the point that armor is all I need to keep a good defense and go back to my Twin Saber/Greatsword setup. We will see how it works out.

Also, is there a way to find friends on there over WiFi? Or are you stuck with random people? My PSP isn't near me so I am not sure.

You can only search the first 20 random parties it finds. You can also find people whose partner card you have, see if they are online, and join their game if it's open.

You can also search for parties based on various settings or by the name of the party.

Sure are a ton of "hot girls only", "need a gf", "lezgirlsonly like me", and "Bruces: Have vent, and follow instructions".

I downloaded the demo for this today, and man... This is a must have for any PSU/PSO fans. The free online play alone is well worth the money. Playing for the little time I did brought back good memories of the console version. Where some friends and I would just sit in the lobby area and mess around just dancing for no reason lol. So hellz ya to psp2, adding this to my holiday list of games~
