Wouldn't that be like FFXI where spells such as AMII and tier 5 nukes were in the game and level 80-90+ for years before they became available? Granted, I don't think SE is dumb enough to create the same situation in FFXIV where they can't go past a certain level for years because they're too lazy to balance it, but still, they might be placeholders again.

This is what I'm thinking as well. Add stuff that MIGHT be added, but put it as an impossible level to obtain then wait and see.

What happened as I recall is the game came out with a 100 cap in mind, but then the JPs were leveling faster than SE had expected, so they capped the game at 50, but the JPs got really mad about it because leveling was really the only thing they could do in the game.

I think it's meant to be a chocobo drawn carriage. After all, if they REALLY want the true desert feel, they'll need the caravans.

Actually, Corr... it looks like a Chocobo drawn mini-airship for a high ranking official to ride on in what I suspect will be the opening scene of Ul'Dah leading to a tutorial fight against a rampaging Goobbue.

Yeah. If you watch the Making of a Realm 4, they show the concept art for transportation airships. I also suspect the Grabranth looking fellow is someone from the Garlean Empire.

Any idea what class will probably make use of the gunblade?

Kind of doubt it'll be for any class, maybe a prop or beastman weapon.

However if I had to take a guess on a class, Musketeer would be my guess. I could see this being used for long ranged (bullets) and close ranged (bayonet like device) combat.
