I'll beg to differ.. But that discussion is neither here nor there.


As for the rest of the post, not even gonna argue it since it's irrelevant, I know BLU isn't on the piece, I was just mentioning INT has it's purposes for the job as well.


So if the piece is useless, your argument and purpose for the thread should be just that. Not that the gear is redundant.


they have the same objective, up damage by a small amount. int 7 does that better, for the most part, for 95% of all situations.

-+emn kills the other since the other 5% is virtually the same damage anyway +/-2 points of damage.

they are redundant because its ruffly the same damage outcome. ( most extreme may be +/- 10 damage)

just because they add damage differently does not mean they cant be redundant in the final objective.

it would be like having a belt since path wants to bring up haste, a new belt that adds 7% haste, 1 attack, 3 range attack and a belt that gives 7% haste and 1 str

with only melee jobs able to equip, drop by the same mob.

I understand where you're coming from that there's no point to the MAB belt if 7 INT accomplishes the same thing. But look at the other stats: The MAB belt has an enmity +2 penalty, the INT belt has a -30 MP penalty. Perhaps it's not so much redundancy, as it is SE asking you to choose your poison, in a sense. Would you rather accomplish the same thing with a slightly elevated chance of getting hate or running out of MP faster?

well i guess though mp geared mages make me cry, its about how to keep your mp up (like not casting 3 AM II back to back and some Ga III)

though by the point you drop that mp like that you prob gonna die so...

this is how i look at things, and i have took the liberty to test if ice obi + ice weather ( stormserge) outdoes a stone V.

they are about the same so this belt is used when you dont have obis for the nuke, i never bought obis as the other alt gear to use since my main objective was to look into 2 gears made at the same time with the same point.

and because its +5 int and - 3 emn you still dont rule out pin rope completely.

I just realized something. You don't find many (or any?) mobs that give MAB down while you'll find many that do stats down. Maybe there's a fight that gives you reduced stats somewhere with long aoe and blm or some sort of nuker is kinda desired for that fight. . That is truely the only thing i can think of.

...byt yeah, SE does crank out stupid gear (2str/vit byrnie i'm lookin' at you).
