Prior to Funimation buying the rights for DB the show was good, they took it and gave it a roofy then proceeded to gangrape the show.

Well actually what happened was the first dub was done by some company in Canada and Funimation published it. Despite people loving it, it gave a real bad name for Funimation in the voice acting department. So they re dubbed the whole series itself, and it really isn't bad. They took away the generic rock music and kept the original Japanese music and the voice actors are a lot better, not going to say the best, but I did grow into them.

Plus Funimation has been doing really well on other works, probably one of the top re dub companies now. Can make fun of the current DBZ voice acting, but in all fairness, could you find someone better to read those lines? Can only make corny jokes sound but so good.
