Apocalypse was never better for zergs than Kraken Club. CATA -> KC, sure, but never Apocalypse.

I beg to differ considering Taints own results with apocalypse. I think Kap and banter need to relook at the game a bit more in depth since I'm the idiot though I have no idea what im talking about.

K club 30 second damage in past

Optimal Gear:
Weapon Souleater Damage Base Damage
Kraken Club 18900 1039
Bahamut's Zaghnal 15200 1824
Fortitude Axe 11350 3628.8
Rune Chopper 11550 5082
Ridill 9600 1920
Mercurial Kris 12000 480

Taint's Data: 30k doesn't sound unreasonable. My max was 24,500 I believ on Kirin but it was dead before LR wore off. I have minx2, marchx2, madx2, WAR and DRK rolls.

The only reason K club would win is with more time and SE being up with heals because of DB wearing off. I hate to break the news to any K club owner but it doesn't proc 8 times every single round and the averages are closer to what are in that journel. The only way it would have overtaken Apcalypse is if every single round was doing 6 hits per round. That doesn't happen very often if ever. Zerging being considered a 30 second interval are what these are based upon. The Apocalypse was better for that 30 seconds and lost ground to K club as time went on which is why people started doing the Apocalypse to K club zergs after the Haste nerf.

You can add in 1-2k jumps for jump/high jump because at that time it didn't take HP which still isn't enough to beat apocalypse in those 30 seconds. The K club would overtake apocalypse around 40-45 second mark and that was only with max healing since Blood Weapon was off. The Apocalypse had potential to do well over 30,000 damage in 30 seconds if timing was right for more damage. I think if people researched things before they spouted off shit maybe we could gain ground in learning. You can also thank Nameless for the initial start of Rune Chopper zerging at this time because he was the one pushing the idea very frequently here in the forums.

That's false, with WAR/chaos roll, songs, and 93.3 haste I was absolutely obliterating the 3-4 Kclubs at every zerg. (One of those clubs bein mine). They did not have Apoc-club which would have helped. But no normal Kclub DRK was touching a fully buffed Apoc.

Speaking of rolls, Time to start making friends with Corsairs if you haven't already. Blitzer Roll has come to play.

Have to keep in mind when talking about delay reduction about your X hit build and how much TP you gain with them. I know if they give the same TP reduction on delay down that the game does with its formula's it would be better to not have that roll depending on your STORE TP set up.

You're thinking as if it's a roll that decreases a weapon's base attack delay, affecting TP gained per swing. Yes, it says it reduces delay. Well....so does Haste:

Haste: Haste is calculated as a percentage reduction in weapon delay and magic recast time. Spell decreases attack delay and recast timers by 15%, just as 15% in haste gear would, however this spell counts towards magical haste cap, not equipment haste cap.

Just because attack delay is in the description, it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to affect the number next to your Delay stat. Seriously, this is just a Corsair version of March. I have never seen any enhancement or enfeeble that has altered the physical delay of a weapon in order to cause more or less TP gain per swing. Only an increase or decrease in the speed you swing.

I won't argue that fact but one can only wait and see. I hope you are right myself but I'm thinking in negative terms considering that's how SE does alot of their game updates and one can't argue that the same thing is said of DW ( which reduces delay AND TP gain)though since it also reduces delay.

The thing about that is if you are right in your thinking then it will cap out people almost @80% Haste on a few jobs since most of you not using haste belts are sitting at less than the cap of magic as is. Most of you with Apocalypse are 7% haste from cap with march x 2 and haste spell. This could also mean it's own entity like DW but I'm highly doubting that. I won't jump the gun and will wait and see since its soon.

SE isn't always negative with their updates. They give a lot of great stuff. They just are usually hit-or-miss most often with certain jobs, like DRKs *coughOCCULTACUMENcough* But they aren't total idiots since we got some pretty nice stuff this update.

Be a bit more glass half-full. It just doesn't make sense to me that SE would give a roll to Corsairs that causes a -3% Delay over a +3% Haste effect, speaking in Sword Strap terms.
