NMs which don't suck to camp?

Hello! Recently hit 80THF for some NM camping purposes. I blew through about 20 rare/ex NMs I needed, almost all of them, in a week. Now I am looking for things to camp for a little bit of profit. I'm looking for things with a worthwhile drop that THF can solo, which pops fairly regularly (1-4 hours). Doesn't necessarily have to be an NM, as spook is decent I suppose (at least on my server).

Anybody know any monsters for me to farm that fit the bill? Thank you so much for any input!! ^^

Of course the guy is serious. He's wearing a pot bandanna and waving the middle finger; doesn't get much more serious than that. But anyway, if you're looking to make money off NMs, most of them have been exploited to the point of little monetary gain. Most people moved on to ENMs for gil but with recent updates, alot of those money makers have dropped as well. Seems most of the money items reside in Abyssea for the time being, until people flood the market.

Because you come into every thread with some form of negativity and never provide help with anything, just insult people for being "lower" than you. And if you're not doing that, you're just spamming the thread with useless bullshit that no one wants to hear, that's often split up into 4-5 posts because you either want to up your post count or you can't complete one coherent thought before hitting the post button.

The guy comes in here asking for people to just hand over easy ways of making gil, and you guys are cool with that? lol

I feel that its just clearly impossible to make consistent gil BY YOURSELF. This is a MMORPG, a game requiring cooperation with others in order to reach a goal, right? Therefore stuff that mandiorily requires a Party like a KSNM30 is the only way to make good money. That and abyssea stuff atm.

Sky pops are soloable but they just don't sell like they used to anymore or I would suggest that. I see tons of people bazaaring byakko and other pop items and they just don't move. People are moving on.

By THF? Not many, but it's really pointless to bother bringing THF to farm triggers aside from Ulli/Olla anyways.

Too many people QQ about competition, whether at shitty NMs or Kings. As a result a lot of money got the r/ex equivalents and now suck to camp for profit. It's not really a good return on time investment anymore to be leveling THF for gil. Hell even Devil Mantas suck now.

I honestly would love to tell you but really the NM hunter days are kinda dead. Of all the non-King NMs that I used to do they've all gotten the R/EX slapstick except Cassie, so if you got a RDM or WHM buddy can try Capricious Cassie... but the capes are tanking now cuz Abyssea drops replaced it (down 66% on my server since June)

Yeah I think those days of soloing NM's for reliable profit are kinda dead as well. Been a long time since the days of racing gilsellers for claim on stroper chyme. Seems like these days, it's a lot better to farm NM's low-man with friends and split it. Or look to sell r/ex stuff that not many other people are selling. So if I were OP I'd grab a friend and do some market research, perhaps throw some r/ex items in your ffxiah bazaar and see if you get bites.

Probably the best advice you'll get out of anyone.

if you don't mind camping and check ffxiah.com for prices

serket rings (on my server at least) are still very good and with th4 i was averaging 3-4 a week (but also i literally owned that nm for 6ish months, won literally every claim and drove all my competition out entirely, people just stopped showing up lol) 500-700k per ring X3-4 per week (but remember it is a 3 hour window).

same with cassie, pretty easy to solo (harder than serket you do need to have some idea of what to expect) earring isn't as expensive as serket ring's, and it is a long run to fei yin.

I funded my apoc with this and enm/isnm/znm's in just 6 months with dynamis sponsoring (also bought a fair amount in rolanmart)

the lion's share of my money came from serket/cassie. Abyssea wasn't around yet so I can't personally comment on how farming in it does as I'm so sick of farming gil that I haven't since completing my relic a few months ago.

There's also farming consumables but you need a huge time investment and patience + ipod help lol

Abyssea can be great if you can find people to buy your ra/ex drops.

yea i hear great things about abyssea and money making, but i'm drowning in magian relic trials still, haven't had much time to make money. and dusk gloves +1 are down under 20 mil, getting closer to the point of not worth trying. /sigh

Because everyone knows the AF3 hands for every job will rape em, so they are undercutting and trying to sell now.

As the hardcore players dwindle due to real life obligations / finally "capping out" the XI model of good gear having infinite shelf-life but being obscenely hard to obtain wasn't going to work because casuals hate being confronted with getting stuck with their character. So SE started catering to them; everything low-mannable and nothing requires direct competition in a zero-sum manner. Hard is a measure of tediousness now (hi2u magians), rather than skill/organization/fighting direct competition

You say that like FFXI wasn't tedious before? The only fights that were challenging at 75 were AV and PW. 80 made them farmable, and 85 is going to make them a joke.

It never ceases to amaze me how obsessively devoted people are to Everquest masochism. SE has been shifting the model closer and closer to WoW (without entirely switching over to instanced dungeons -- no clue why, really) and the majority of the playerbase is happy of it. There was no challenge in suffering overtuned bullshit and rarity, just frustration, and frustration is not a hallmark of an enjoyable leisure activity.
