Hey I was trying to see if anyone knew or could do for me a conversion of an mp3 to a dat file so I could use it as my battle music. I honestly have no clue though how to go about it. I tried to google it and all I could find were processes for the reverse transfer.

Trying to do this with the battle music from SMRPG, so if someones already done it would save much time =D

I think - and I could be wrong - all you do is rename the MP3 as the .dat you want to replace, and then remove the original and stick the renamed MP3 into the file.

What you need to do is convert the mp3 file into a .wav file, then convert that .wav file into a .bgw file (.bgw is the file extension for music files in XI). Once it's been converted into a .bgw file, rename it as the file that you're wanting to replace (it'll always be music###.bgw) and place it in the appropriate music file (having made sure to save the original file somewhere else).

To convert .wav to .bgw, you'll need XiMC
