Ok heres what I don't understand, how are people still praising this game when it has so many flaws, stuff that needs to be fixed with release around the corner. Now i understand people are going to flame me or get mad that I am hating on their precious child FFXIV. What I cannot seem to fathom is how this company has been working on this game for 5 years and it still is like this.
*No ah is archaic, FFXI had an AH and it was in 2002
* No hardware mouse? COME ON I mean really can we please stop catering to the PS3 users.
* 48 hour respawn on Guildleaves and there are only 10 to do at a wack, so now im stuck grinding which was cool back when Fresh prince was on air.
* No mog houses, Ok lets take the best feature out of xi and forget to put it in xiv.
* Decaying armor? Ok so if i play for a long time i'm penalized?
* Combat is SLOW as hell. You cannot attack from the back? No tab targetting. Jesus its 2010 not 2002.
* Menu based EVERYTHING jesus christ guys lets get with the program here.
*No regen unless you Hit F, Also no MP regen unless food is used.
* To get up From the sit position you have to /sit, or use Sit option in the Menu.
* The areas in this game, yes look good but they are plain and bland.
* The grouping is dead, not like ffxi its all solo.
* Surplus system? we already know how bad this is going to be.
Now these are all valid points if someone off the street was going to pick up this game and play it. This game is supposed to be "Casual" yet it gives very little explanation on what to do. Now im not saying to hold my hand, but at least give some insight on what to do. Now I know people are going to say "Go back to wow if u want easy." I think you guys are confusing Time sink for hard. Looking stuff up on the internet is not hard, nor should it be a HUGE part of the game. FFXI the crafting you had to look up the recipies, and that to me isn't "Hard" its a time sink. This game comes out in close to 13 days, and you guys are not seeing the big picture, this game is not done at all yet. I just hope you guys enjoy seeing only 3 servers at start, becuase this game is not going to be well recieved to the USA/EU crowd. People that have played other mmo's such as Aion, Warhammer, WoW, these games are way to fast pased to come from, to go to a game that is supposed to be Next gen and is slower than ffxi.

We all need to wait until they release the final game. Also I think the 2 games must be different, or else what is the point on releasing a new one? I am sure they don´t want to kill FFXI.

the changes they made to FFXI makes it seem they are doing a awful good job at that objective.

its like SE are making changes to force it to die.
