Actually some mobs perform back to back TP moves even when tp was used. You probably got that half of the story off of wiki I bet.

There's an obvious difference when a mob uses back to back TP moves as apart of its normal AI, and when they use them because they have so much TP.

Since when is /cor considered a good idea?
Since we have always had a butt-ton of ranged accuracy and attack in gear available to us, along with decent skill in marksmanship, and have access to quick draw and slug shot.

Except you'll do more damage with Katanas, unless you're kiting, then nin/cor could be viable.

Or if you are at a fight that has AoE spam and you are there as a DD. etc. There is no reason you could not build TP with katanas and the Slug Shot WS if there was a situational and viable mob/fight to do so...
I am mostly trying to kind of guesstimate what alternative paths we can follow with new sub-job abilities and the new ninja buffs we are going to have available to us. I am seeing 1k+ magic bursts with ninjutsu now, so there is definitely a viable option to spin the elemental wheel with a mage sub.
Although our access to a level 85+ decent gun is practically non existent we still have some of the best ranged attack gear available to us.
They do not want us to tank that is apparent, so... what are our worthwhile alternatives? I think hybrid DD is where it is going.
Mob has low resistance to magic? Sub a mage job and spin the wheel... Mob has low physical defense? Sub WAR and Innin. Mob spams a lot of AoE and is resistant to magic? Sub COR and slugshot it from afar... They are giving us options I think, we just need to be allowed and willing to step out of our comfort zones and use these abilities with gusto to find out what really will be sustainable for us.
The nice thing about our ability to DD is that we all have a little bit of tanking experience, so we can try and push as much damage as we can, and if we happen to pull hate from the tank we just revert back to survival mode until hate is restored.
I think this is cool to be honest and hopefully groups will be willing to allow their ninjas to test the waters with new possibilities and we can break out of our stigma.
I really wish they would add more trials for pre-existing gear already. I mean the 500 or whatever the number was WS' on exp mobs for unlocking Senji, was practically a starter magian trial, why can't they add more to those weapons?
Coffinmaker with added base damage would be neato, along with senji, or perdu weapons... There are plenty of r/e weapons that could have been used for trials instead of what they gave us... WTF.
I don't want to complain too much about the AF3 because it is really nice gear for us ignored ninjas, but seriously why couldn't we have used our existing AF for that?
Anyway I am done, I need to get back to AutoCAD.
Sorry for the short novel.

Oh i know and i agree... however, when you KNOW how much TP you give a mob, then it's a different story. I don't know 1 type of exp mob that hasn't done this sort of cheat. The other thing is that mobs don't have sekanoki as any bst or any mob testing with 70% hp high tp tests will show you.
I forgot i had this page sitting up like this all the time >_>
