It would not have any negative effects on Gaia, if anything it would be better without it. Terra was trying to slowly fuse it's crystal with Gaias. When Terra was destroyed, it let loose of Gaia's crystal. What Kuja was seeking after the destruction of Terra was to go after Gaia's crystal and shatter it.
Gaia was just fine before Terra came in.

Well either way. I think a FF9 sequel could work if done right, however given SE's current track for decent at best storylines...

Don't get me wrong, I would welcome a sequel if they decided to make one. Then again, I said the same thing about FFX-2, and look what happened there.

FFX was so and so to me. The leveling/sphere grid system was interesting, but other than that it wasn't that interesting.

Hmmm, has anyone here played Legend of Dragoon? I enjoyed that game more than FF7 on some levels.
Also, wasn't Yuna the main character for FFX? I always thought that the game was about her journey to gather the Aeons and stop Sin. Or would you just call her the female lead, and Tidus be the male lead?
Oh and path, you're right about 13. If anyone gives you a copy of it; douse it in kerosene, light it on fire, then put it out with holy water. It was like, SE tried to make every character the main character. They modeled the game after Crisis Core, which was actually a pleasant experience to me (Crisis Core, not 13). However, Crisis Core you only have 1 main character, Zack. 13, you got like...what? 8, 9 people? All trying to be the main character? And with piss ass english voice acting? /neck
I got to just after Snow got his Shiva Sisters bike before I pulled the disc from my PS3 and fed it to the neighbor's dog, then proceeded to look up the ending online. SPOILERS: it makes no sense what so ever.
13 is easily the worst FF game I have ever played, worse than X-2! Though I am probably one of the few who enjoyed X-2...probably because I went in with no expectations of it being a SE or FF game, and having to continue that legacy.
Now question for The Joker fans...Jack Nicholson's or Heath Ledger's?

Played it back in the day. I thought it was pretty average, but I did have fun playing through it at the same time as my friend trying to see who could beat it with the least game overs. Damn that Kanzas...

Yes, Tidus and Yuna are both having their stories told in FFX. They're both on their own journey to defeat Sin one way or another.

Same for me. I didn't expect much out of X-2, but the battle system made it very enjoyable for me. I set the story aside and just played the game for what it was, and it was a good time.

Ledger. But Nicholson will always have a special place in my heart...hell, classic cheesy Michael Keaton Batman movies always will occupy that space too. <3

I really don't understand why people hate so much on FF13. Sure, it was unorthodox and not the best title of the series, but it wasn't a bad game. FFX-2 was pretty decent too, at least Battle/Job (Costume) wise.

My only complaint about 13 is how the game can ruin the PS3 for whatever reason. How the hell that managed to happen I have no clue.

Nicholson or Ledger? Why must assholes continue to propagate this needless and utterly stupid argument? Two different actors, playing entirely two different characters, only connected by name, ownership, and related characters. The question should be, "Who's vision of the Joker is better? Burton's or Nolan's?"

Personally I love the villain from the first Golden Sun game. The motives for the two villains is their desire to save their village from being destroyed.

The villain from bioshock (the real one) I thought was bad ass. Guy was the ultimate minipulator.

In terms of RPG heroes, I liked Yuri from Shadow Hearts. He seemed abrasive at first, but his character was actually quite deep.

He was just Ayn Rand with a slightly smaller set of bollocks. Sometimes I don't think video game (or storybook) villains have anything on the sort of shit people pull in real life. Bernie Madoff comes to mind. I'm pretty sure I've yet to run across a video game villain who actively robbed little old ladies and schoolteacher pensions and church renovation funds.

Which is funny, because that whole thing reads like fiction. "Madoff" couldn't be a more appropriate name.

Aw, Vigi....why so serious?
I am indeed an asshole...however, I don't recall ever reading that Burton or Nolan forced Nicholson or Ledger into their "vision". Nolan didnt force Ledger to seclude himself in a darkened hotel room for six weeks with two Joker comics and a tape recorder, demanding him to create "Nolan's vision of the Joker". I'm certain the director of Gigli had a "vision", yet that movie was an insufferable piece of shit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a director doesn't involve himself with how an actor portrays a character. Thats the job of the producer, writer, and/or on-set consultant. The director just tells the actor to jump "this way" instead of "that way".
When I'm making the comparison, I'm talking about the actor's portrayal of the character's personalities. An example of what I mean taken from an interview with Sir Michael Caine <linky>,
"Jack Nicholson was the greatest Joker so, you know, how do you top that? Well, Heath Ledger's done it and he's extraordinary,"
"He's gone in a completely different direction to Jack. Jack was like a clown figure, benign but wicked, maybe a killer old uncle. He could be funny and make you laugh. Heath is like a really scary psychopath. I did one scene with him and he was ready to go and had to come up in a lift and raid our place. I didn't see him for rehearsal and when he came out of the lift he was so incredible I forgot my lines."
"He frightened the life out of me," Caine added. "His Joker is going to be a hell of a revelation in this picture."
The Joker as two different characters? Based on physical appearences in the films...yeah, you can say that. However, as a personality? No. Both films are drawing their inspirations about the character's personality from the comics so it's really two sides of the same coin. You wouldn't turn a nickel over, and call it a penny. Therefore the two characters are the same, just portrayed differently by two different actors based on their own views of the character.
Jack Nicholson; evil, killing clown.
Heath Ledger; psycho in poorly done halloween make up who you don't know what the hell he will do with you.
I don't know about you, Vigi, but I couldn't give two fucks about their "vision". I go to the movies to be fucking entertained. From all my favorite movies I can't even begin to try to remember the director's name unless its been plastered all over, like "Tim Burton's blah blah blah"...which explains why I really have yet to see a Tim Burton film that I didn't like. But I certainly remember the actors and scenes that made those movies enjoyable to watch.
Who were we talking about again? Kefka? yeah, fuck you man! I don't know who the hell you are, but fuck you for ruining the world!!!
