So for everyone having troubles picking a starter city, please list your city and why, or give points to each!
I really love all citys, I cant decide. lol. I love the feel of grindia, but im thinking the story is going to bug me,
that boy with horns looks gay as hell, so it may me lumsa or alby for me!

ul'dah because having atmias suck and its easy to run to the other 2 from there

lumsa seems like a cool story but the pirate talk.. they over did it.

I picked Ul'dah just for the easy layout. Gridania horrifies me with its layout, although I'm seriously considering starting here for release for the guilds... we'll see how important they end up being.

i would do it for what story you think you like best, its easy to get to any of the cities.

i would say its harder to go to juneo from your starter city then it is to hit the other 2 in ffxiv

they just dont give enough detail about the stories.

Lumsa= pirates, sea beast, and hunting treasure.

Uldah= flowers & dead girls & sad ninja guy? lol. not soo sure about this one

Grindia= elementals & gods. if it ends up having lot to do with archers & lancers, sense both guilds are here, GREAT! thats my cake right there. but if its all magic, i will cry, grindia had the best opening video i thought, it was more catchy with its comedic scene
but then the guy with the horns just fucking ruined it for me. /: he looks so damn retarded......

I started in Gridania, but i begin to dislike the narrow pathways... and even the outside area where you exp is narrow. least fav

Limsa is ok, i havnt explored much but it seems like "exit" out of the city is further away than others, and also like the music here.

Ul Dah is the best city, its big, less laggy, easy to get outside from crystal, outside area is big and wide.

Levequest wise i have only done Gridanian ones(up to 3rd camp(lv20)), which gives you some mage armor and mostly craftmenship armor.
