No, not even close. Weaponskill damage is not a sufficient proportion of our overall damage. Work on a proper set of claws.

To answer the question, yes they do replace the destroyers. To answer Path's incoming flame, they are a mediocre replacement.

Str and Dex trials are better.

The OA2 is looking tempting as well, but I have not seen any posts regarding OAx and HtH weapons other than SE saying it 'should be working properly now.'

They're just barely a replacement and if you're going to put in the effort to make a new weapon (AND YOU SHOULD), then make a real one. If you can't stand dealing with days of the weak, make a Defense Down or Evasion Down set of claws. They're inferior because of the proc rate (note: I gauge a weapon's usefulness for all situations, including solo, whereas most people only think of them in terms of parties that are stacked), but at least you have a sufficiently strong base weapon. Get rid of the Destroyers. Nothing makes me more furious than seeing people in otherwise great gear but still coasting on their level 75 shit, especially because they're going to be the ones whining about all the work they have to do to get up to speed for 99.

Which will usually end up being better damage? The WS DMG+10% or Store TP?

I actually have a reasonable question here. With all the new atma (RR and VV) MNK Asc. Fury (sp?) spamming has become the rage with talks of rather consistent 4000-5000 WSs. That means these should add another 400-500 damage. Would that make them worth if for non-Footwork situations? I'm going to keep my footwork build for outside of abyssea obviously.

Afury does 1500-2000, I've had spikes in the 3500 range. Still 10% of that is pretty solid for an easy to obtain weapon.

Afaik, The highest you'll see for averages right now are around 3.5k for specific Empyrean weapons used by extremely well geared players.
