This reminds me of a guy I went to college with. He wore the same NY Yankees jacket everyday; never washed it, never even fucking febrezed it. Wasn't the same as a varsity jacket like you are describing, but it was obnoxious nonetheless. It was navy blue and it had patches up and down the sleeves for each championship. To make matters worse he was the quintessential bandwagon Yankee fan. In other words, baseball begins and ends with the Yankees and he was extremely dismissive to anything outside of the Yankees realm.

So what did we do? We took a permanent marker and wrote "NIGGER" (He was white and extremely racist) on the back. Even after he washed it numerous times you could still make out a faint "NIGG." Many lulz were had.

I agree with everything else the OP said except for the first bit on Converse shoes. Though I haven't worn them as much since high school. Like others have said, they were cheap and pretty damn comfortable. What I didn't like about them was that they were pretty fragile and didn't hold up very well in the long run.
