Well FFXIV has officially opened for early access and will open next week for everyone else with pc version. I'm having to wait for the ps3 version because i dont have the money to spend on a new pc that id only use for one game, but it might be a good thing cause itll give me more time to do work/school full time. How do all you other ps3 users feel about the 6 month wait?

or you could use the pc for everything else you would use a pc for too

Yeah, I bet my 8 year old laptop could totally run XIV without a single problem... oh wait, it couldn't even run the benchmark... ah well. No, I went into this whole experience knowing full well my PC (a laptop) wouldn't be able to run XIV. Sure, the, "Then just use your PC like everyone else!" line would seem appropriate but some people, like me, tend to use their PC for a minimal number of reasons and leave the gaming to the consoles. Others, like me..., can't afford to update their PCs every couple months and replace their PCs every couple years. You'll notice how both those reasons kind of mesh. I'm waiting, but that 6 month wait isn't for the beta. That's retail. So, at some point between now and then I hope we'll get a beta... but I done stopped holding my breath.

well i would but i already have a laptop that i use for everything else.. but its like 5 years old so it cant run xiv lol

I just want to be able to sit in the comfort of my livingroom couch with my surround sound and play on my big screen. The PS3 version will run the same and optimally without having to tweak settings and rage because your new $500 video card isn't giving you the godly FPS you hoped.

ya thats another really good reason, sitting in a computer chair for 5+ hours a day could result in serious ass welps/bruises

I hope sometime in the near future everyone who is playing on pc experiences seizures due to random flashs from certain attacks and they shutdown the servers til ps3 is ready for release and by that time they will have the seizure thing all sorted out....stupid SE making me wait -.-

I've been waiting for this forever since "Rapture" was called Final Fantasy XIV.

Ofcourse I'm a little upset/disappointed...but not enough to cry about It.

I'm a "console only" kind of guy and have NEVER played a PC game besides the original Prince of Persia on some else's PC.

LoL But that didnt stop me from dropping $80+ for the PC CE version.

I bought It because I would SOMEDAY In the near future like to have a gaming quality laptop JUST so I could play this game while I'm at work. And yeah...you heard right...I'm willing to spend over 1k JUST to play this game...but ofcourse I will prolly play others...but mainly FFXIV.

With a fiancee and baby boy at home....there Is NO WAY that I could play ANY kind of MMO like I would want to. I remember the days before I had my son I could play up till about 10+ hours before I HAD to turn the game off due to me getting a headache. But now my woman wants the T.V.,and so would my son,and then I have to pay them attention and stuff LoL. As it is...if I was able to play this game on my PS3 I would mainly only be able to play this at night but then I would be sacraficing sleep time....and I work 12 hours a day...sometimes more.

But they have open wi-fi at the moment here at my job and even If they locked it I could find other means to play XIV at work.

Honestly, I wish SE delayed the game til PS3 launch to help fine tune the game.
