Considering how's the system structured, I think that as long as you have the tools for your job, you can pretty much level every crafting skills, no?
Or am I missing something here...

They're classes. You can level all of them to the cap.

Yes, I think it will be different from FFXI where they only allowed you one and the others defaulted to sub crafts. I also have been keeping a close eye on the Yellow Gremlin database, and many of the crafts and armor will rely heavily on multiple DoH classes.

yeh, i was looking at the crafting recipe list on eorzeapedia, and there was a couple of training ability things needed, that are from other guild's mark purchases, im not playin yet, but i assume you can only get guild marks by doing quests for that guild, which is in turn done by you lvling that guilds craft

In many ways you are rewarded for leveling multiple classes. For instance, blacksmith with woodworking would help you make multiple weapons (Armorer with weaver or tanner also). Also, since theres no AH, you pretty much have to hunt though bazaars for any items you cant craft.

Example: Im trying to make a new hammer for my blacksmith (either lvl 7 or 12) and the recipe requires a handle done by lvl 11 carpenter, and a cloth by a lvl 21 weaver (which makes me cry a little inside).

Work schedule's been keeping me from playing and I never figured it out in beta, but how do you get Guild Marks anyways?

People told me you can sign up for guild quests and stuff when you hit lvl 20. Thats when you are able to get points, but rumors can sometimes be counter productive so dont put to much worth in this.
