Most laptops aren't going to handle this game. Its very strongly CPU reliant and the laptop CPUs fluctuate in speed, i won't expect more than 30 fps from it probably 15 or less in town sadly, which is playable but im a videophile

I have a laptop that runs the game "ok". My laptop actually scored a 300 on the benchmark and is running off a core2 @2.2 and an ATI 4570.

That being said, this is probably a toss up. The M11x uses low voltage CPUs which run at 1.0 gig, where as the game minimums are a 2.0gig core2 (who knows if the performance increases of a newer generation CPU will be enough to combat the clock speed diff) and quite possibly more. If you do try to get a laptop to play ffxiv, i would suggest getting one with a CPU that isnt for thin and lite laptops, such as the Core i7-720QM. A good option would be one like this:

Which has a good CPU and GPU for decently cheap but the drawback is it wont be the size you were hoping for.

I'm on an Alienware myself. This was the score I got:

Quote

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel ® Core ™ i7 CPU2 M 620 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870

Score: 985
Load Time: 36208 ms

[Under 1500] Insufficient Performance
Does not meet specifications for running the game.

Maybe that'll give you an idea. (Yeah, I cried.)

Yours is actually faster than the m11x (which uses a 1.3ghz I7), that would make anyone cry.
