The above link describes the content of the AAG's blog, which targets the openly gay President of the University of Michigan's Student Governmental Body. The blog includes accusations of Nazism, Satanism, promiscuous behaviour and "radical homosexual agenda". It also describes actions that the AAG has taken against the college student, including picketing his house, following and filming him with a video camera, reading the student president's and his friend's FaceBook pages and posting information from them on the blog.
The AAG later defended himself and his actions when interviewed by Anderson Cooper. Follow the link below to watch the interview.

You know who I feel most sorry for in this whole situation? The people of Michigan. It can't possibly be reassuring to know that you have a miserable, immature and petty pissant like this working as an AAG in your own state

Just... Wow... I honestly can't think of anything to say. I am textless and speechless.
Well, I guess I can say one thing: He's a public figure waging a public war against a member of the public. Of course your fucking job has everything to do with it.

All I can say is if that college kid lived one state south, he'd probably already been burned at the stake.

I don't know a whole lot about American politics, but isn't this grounds for dismissal? Or can he really keep doing this as long as it's in his own time?

Freedom of speech may protect this. Or not. I know the federal government has statutes that would allow for a federal attorney to be dismissed at his superior's discretion for something like this, but Michigan may not.
The trouble is that a lot of people have convinced themselves that they'd rather have a bigoted lunatic in their midst than a few homosexuals. The US as a whole is a country that's off its meds.
