Finding some photos of the Cave of Crystals in Mexico got me wondering what other weird, fantastic, wonderful things people have found in the real world that look like they come straight from a fantasy setting.

Cave photos:

Pretty sure all of Michigan qualifies as a setting for a Shin Megami Tensei game. Just make sure you level up your Meth Whore until she gets the Pierce skill. Honestly, kinda disappointed, since I was expecting someone to post a picture of a grungy back-alley as the first reply.

But really, Ken, you got nothin'?

I live downtown in Houston. I have never seen nature, and as this is Texas, I have limited knowledge of the outside world. :(

I love that Final Fantasy uses certain themes for their games.

Such as having FFVI as an industrial setting, FFVIII using modern day areas such as New York and Paris, and FFX using the South Pacific and Thailand as it's setting.

I will have to say though, FFX has to have the coolest looking areas I have seen, and I really hope one day I can travel to the South Pacific just to check the scenery. It is dorky, but I am okay with it. :P

By the way those caves look really cool, did they have to fight a giant turtle to get in there?

No, they just had to KILL MOTHER EARTH BY HARVESTING MAK--NATURAL RESOURCES. Also, less talk, more cool photos.

Geez, those pics are spectacular, Firefeng.

I unfortunately have no pics, so I will just simply continue to stare away at the ones posted.

i took this picture when i lived in thailand, it gave me nostalgic feelings. reminded me of King dom hearts destiny island and FFXI besaid island. though it probably look like any tropical island, they generally look the same anyway,
