At least you get that month, those of us who signed on with the PS3 have to wait till March at the latest, that's well past January! Hell, I'm not even going to be able to get the promotional item for having XIV and XI active at the same time!!

if you give a discount penitently they may make more money in the end but that's my option.

Not true. The discount will be ongoing after 2011.

If I recall the combined package will increase $2 dollars. But it will still be cheaper than paying for both seperatly. Now I can't say for sure if you would get the item for ps3. But I am sure they will do a simular item package launch. After all they are a company and want to make money

Look at it this way. Without the trial extension the breakdown looks kind of like this:

October:
FFXI 7.00

November:

Total 19.99

Overall Total:
59.97


With the extended trial:
October:
FFXI 7.00
FFXIV 0.00
Total 7.00

November:
FFXI 7.00
FFXIV 12.99
Total 19.99

December:
FFXI 7.00
FFXIV 12.99
Total 19.99

Overall Total:
46.98


You still save money with the extended trial. I'm not 100% on 14's monthly total btw since I didn't pay attention to payment amount when I was registering during trial.
