By the time the PS3 version actually comes out ... Hopefully SE will have implemented a whole load of patches and fixes and they game should be a whole lot morre fun to play.

SE have taken a beating with publicity on this game and they screwed up big time, hence the extra 30 days free. It’s to give them enough time to actually fix all those problems before people actually have to start paying for the game, I don’t doubt that they will improve this game vastly if not in the next 30 days at least by the time the PS3 version is released.

They would be fools not to, considering how much of their revenue came from FFXI subscriptions! If it continues to fail, SE will loose so much money someone's head will roll.

I personally enjoy playing FFXIV already, but i do agree there are lots of changes and improvements to be made, if you check a lot of the reviews they say the game has potential but is just not finished yet. When it is it will be awesome!

You've been on this site for how long? We don't have to act; most of us here have a good grasp of what you do and do not understand. You put it on display on a routine basis. Also, thanks for the new sig quote.

I can not give you a realistic reason to play the game. The only 'reason' would be to get leveled up or get crafts up early while you can (while you have all the spare time).

If you're already "losing faith" then you should check back for the November update and return for ps3 release if it is not good enough.
FF14 is not for everyone & even the MMO genre. It's up to you & what you are getting out of it.

On that note, the majority of players are generally dissatisfied with the level of "fun" they are getting.

I never got into Guild Wars at all. I've played a few of the free MMOs and the only one that I thought was "good" was Ether Saga. I've yet to play FFXIV and i'm already disappointed in what i'm reading. I waited 5 years once "Rapture" was announced only to find out what I have. This game was supposed to have been revolutionary like WoW was in it's time. There was one theory I heard that i'm hoping is the only explanation... SE is limiting a lot so that PS3 players are not left in the dust.

So I guess SE announced that PS3 is fully ported over...without having all the problems fixed. This worries me. I am still reserving my decision, but right now Knights of the Republic looks really good. Heck re-activating my FFXI account looks better than this optiob.
