I am truly enjoying hearing people bitch about it on the daily, while knowing I didn't waste my money on it.

I wasted $36 on it, in spite of my better judgment. But any time I'm tempted to click on its icon so I can grind away on jobs to prepare for the time that it actually becomes playable, my mouse inexplicably moves to FFXI's instead.

I've been finding that too. I don't hate FFXIV at all and I get some enjoyment out of it but it definitely makes me appreciate FFXI more.

I hate both.

I hate FFXIV less because i dont have to sit in a group for 4-10 hours for exp.

why do i play games i hate? the people i met.

I loved FFXI till the cap was 85, the 80 cap was tolerable since it didnt step on every gear in existence.

FFXI was a real game when the cap was 75 though, people complain wow too easy, well FFXI-2 ( the update of 80 and beyond) is easier.

FFXIV i just dislike on the beta feel, seems like that be fixed soon, and hopefully more friends will retrun.

I just decided to start WoW with my roommate and deaf friends in my college few days ago. To be honest, I'm having fun in WoW. I hadn't played this before since FFXI came out. (Been playing FFXI in almost seven years.)





FFXIV's graphic is great, but what about gameplay? You're actually have enjoying? Even slow U.I.? You're wasting your time.

I want to like it, but I honestly can not convince my self to stick around when the fees start occuring. I am not entirely sure if this a good choice in pay to play mmo's, which has me pretty pissed right now because I spent close to $100 on a video card just to play this game.

I feel like I Want to want to play this game sometimes but would actually rather read a book or do home work. Then there are the times that I do play it and can realy enjoy it.

This game is truly designed for casual gamers, ( which i am ) but it is really missing the " I NEED TO PLAY 24/7 365 !!!! " Addiction i had to FFXI and the people i met there.

Tbh I think the biggest things sucking the fun out for me are the retainer system and the gear durability. Having to spend more time shopping or repairing than I do playing makes me furious. I enjoy the other stuff though.

Pretty much sums up XIV, might look great, but god awful in everything else.

Me personally, I like it and I just keep reminding myself when I get frustrated that it is in the early stages and will get better. We all know its downfalls, so why keep rehashing them, it will get better as time goes on and if it doesn't we always have other MMO's to play. I got my THM to 20 did my class quest all while leveling just about every craft and even a CON, so yes, I do enjoy it. However, I really would like a chocobo -.-

Got a buddy pass about 3 weeks ago from someone I know, played for like 2-3 hours every now and then before getting bored and playing something else. Crafting was fun enough for a while but that didn't last long. Did more crafting than fighting/grinding, the fact that crafting was slightly more interesting to me than just killing stuff is quite scary. Exploration is non-existant, there's no landmarks or anything and getting one shot by aggroing monsters makes it extra fun and rewarding. Spent most of my time dressing up my character in new clothes (and spending time getting money for said clothes) but there's not a lot of variety and I've checked most things out. So I'm pretty much done now, absolutely no motivation to play it again.

Wait, people paid for this game?

no it didnt. but it has stopped me now.

i thought I had been hardened enough through FFXI to be able go through this worthless game until it gets its worthlessness together, but I suppose not. i havent had a game to play regularly and enjoy at the same time since new year. it is terrible with a lot of free time, i thought at least FFXIV, even though it is worthless, could have entertained me and save me from my boredom. but from now on it will be cataclysm all the way.

I don't want the game to fail, but I do want Tanaka to get fired. Game will always be mediocre with mediocre people running the shots.

Still one more month to go until an update and so many people are leaving when it's still free to play, that's a great sign~
