Anything from Nobuo Uematsu makes those soundtracks look childish.

Challenge me on this if you must, but the only good thing about FFXIV is the music.

random dungon:

limsa:

(would have to be extanded changed but i think it brings out that "this is an upbeat city sound" without redoing that tune every minute) , i like limsa song dont get my wrong but it needs a longer score, it repeats too much for me and gets on my nerves after while)

La Noscea:

synth:

kept saying too much media so i hope this is ok ><

pretty much, some of them are pretty but like what you have for the black shoud its pretty but not ment for the zone.

Mine..? Yeah it also doesn't feel very fitting for the black shroud to me so I might just leave that as it is...

yep XD

i am fine with most of the music but limsa city and gridnara gets anoying fast for me

those towns i can only listen to 1 or 2 loops, same with la noscea

most of the music is fine though, i would just add a bit more like having an actall chase song while the mobs fee in a leve then have it change to something else when more pop.

the battlewarden fight song is used for other things like fighting in a dungon or something?

and like i said in a different thread gridania's song has a flow that is like this one:

I also like how the different areas for leves have different start music ( when it goes to leve chase it is the same i think)

this is black shoud leve:

In my opinion, a lot of those pieces don't seem appropriate for the areas... You can't ever top something Uematsu did anyway.

Keep in mind though, actually changing out your music can be a bad idea. First and foremost Cutscenes will use the town and battle themes to create a certain atmosphere, and changing those out can ruin a CS.

I chose most of them on a "location similarity" basis..
For example..

FFXIV - Limsa Lominsa = Seaside town
NieR - Seafront = Seaside town
Therefore, the playing piece was made to fit a seaside town.. so compatible..

FFXIV - Ul'Dah = Middle eastern-like desert themed town
NieR - Façade = Middle eastern-like desert themed town
Fitting soundtrack piece for the town's theme, compatible..

I can understand getting that feel from those tracks, however the songs you have for the outlaying zones do not fit. ul'dah's outlaying zone music is very pretty and calm feel, you cannot replace that.

as for limsa i dont know i find both city and the outlaying zone song annoying after a while.

and i think limsa's leves have the same sound as ul'dahs ( dont know why) while gridania's are different. lest before the chase version.

so far i really like gridania's leve music and ul'dahs ( and its outlaying zone) music
