I like how there's a thread about an app that simulates nuclear warfare using Google Maps, and yet no thread about the 2010 elections.
It's a searingly pointed jab at American politics, if you think about it...

What is there to say? GOP rolled that election right up and kicked any chance of improvement to the US right to the curb. It's easy enough to see that they are trying to Lame Duck Obama out of a second term so they can install a new hand puppet in his place.

Aren't each candidate from either party a puppet either way? Doesn't matter if their Democrat or Republican, neither will do this country good in this time. 10 years ago that might have been different. Neither side wants to compromise to try and help this country either, both sides serve their own agenda and of course their is never a middle ground. Wisconsin just went Republican for the 3 big seats up for grabs, 2 of which have never been in politics before. Last week a family friend decided to start talking politics at my kids' birthday party (some nerve), not to mention he is far right. He started on his whole the democrats are going down blah blah blah, I cut him off and said, "the biggest problem with this country is people either want to go right or left, but never forward. Both parties play the blame game instead of figure this shit out." Course no one wants to agree with me.

Hmm that is actually a very good point. Makes me wonder why I even vote at all. Even though it isn't possible, I'd love to see the end of the 'Party' system.

It does often end that should one party institute change for the better, the other eliminates it once it comes into power. Its rather sad pandamafying and/or panda saddifimacating.
