Anyone who is a fan of the Persona series has more than likely heard of their new upcoming game for the current generation consoles, Catherine. I must say, after watching a few trailers, I think this is a true example of how creative and dark some Japanese minds are, haha. Anyways, this is a action/adventure story which will not only focus on deep game play, where you choose your own path within your own choices in the game. This is also a heavily story driven game which centers itself around choice, like you see commonly in WRPG's. Not to mention, the graphics and cel-shading used on this game is simply put, top notch, at least the way I look at it.

The basic story of this game is boobies, nightmares, more boobies, and goats. Kotaku gives a pretty nice and basic description of how this story plays out.

"The back story for the game, like many Persona titles, involves urban legends and murder. Young men have been found dead in their beds, terrified expressions frozen on their faces. Rumors have begun to surface that if you begin to have a nightmare you must wake up immediately or die.

The game starts off with Vincent, our lanky hero, hanging out at a bar with Katherine. Having dated for five years, Katherine suggests the pair gets married. Vincent freezes, as men often do.

Then a mysterious girl named Catherine enters the bar and takes a seat next to Vincent. He ends up taking her home and sleeping with her."

Story sounds quite intriguing and I look very forward to this games release some day in the future. It has been confirmed at least from what I hear is that this game will have a US/EU release. So lets hope a release date comes soon.

That.... I'd play that if it didn't give me nightmares the next time I got with a girl. Or masterbated. Or saw a pair of boobs. Or was within 50 meters of a female. I think that game in general would just fuck with my head... But otherwise it looks pretty damn interesting. Definitely something new.

The whole erotic/horror theme combination is pretty interesting. I'm worried about the US and EU release though, because lord knows we are scared of anything remotely adult like in games. (even in Pokemon Soul Silver they took out the pervert "Hehe...this gym is great, it's full of girls" and changed it to "Hehe...this gym is great, it's full of strong trainers"-.- Though I suppose that was an all ages game to begin with.)
If it does get a release, I hope it won't be hit with the censor hammer too bad. Just slap an 18s sticker on it, please?

Difference is, Pokemon is known as a kids game.

Nothing was really edited from Persona, I doubt this will be either, especially since there is no frontal nudity, just what they like to call, very suggestive themes.

This game looks really interesting and disturbing. I'm looking forward to it, because I just know that Atlus will find a good balance between the sexually suggestive themes and horror themes present in this game. I can't wait until Atlus is finished with the game and that they bring it to our shores!

Seriously though, this game looks more disturbing that anything else I have seen in any other game. Other than Silent Hill.

The Demo was really fun. I hope they license it to US, WITHOUT CUTTING ANYTHING OUT! If not, I will more likely import it cuz the demo was hella fun lolz

i dont think any company would bother bringing it over here if the esrb would put an 18a sticker on it, brick and mortar stores cant carry 18a games as far as i can remember.

so if they were to bring it over, it'd likely end up getting quite a few censorship parts so that they could get it to be m rated. though remember, the saboteur was rated m and you get a code for free if you buy the game new that makes the girls in la belle nuit have bare breasts...
