Stopped playing about a year ago, got a couple jobs to 50 and got a bit tired of the grindy process of leveling. However after spending a little over a month in FFXVI I am starting to think the FFXI grind isnt so bad anymore lol. Just curious about what the big differences are since abyssia and all that came out? Since everyone is so high level and doing all the new stuff is that making it too much of a pain to find people to level with or is it pretty much ops normal. Also if I do come back should I focus on my DD Tank or Healer. all three are decently leveled but what is the game hurting for most these days. Thanks again for your help guys, one of the things I miss most is this community, best game community bar none ever IMO.

Well since Abyssea and the lv cap increase, endgame is a joke and you can get lv from 30-85 in less than a week spamming abyssea. Also the new Relic Gear makes pretty much all endgame gear obsolete...finally lol. Pretty much every pice of melee gear has at least 3% haste and a shit ton of..well pretty much every important melee stat. Same goes for tank gear and mages.

Well since my main intrest in the game is the story that doesnt sound like a bad thing to me at all lol. My appologise to those who play it for other reasons but this games story is a big highpoint for me that overshadows gear and NM hunting.

Well doing stories is still a pain since finding people for missions is harder than the mission itself.

True but hasnt that always been the case, at least this way I can get to the point where I can possibly even do the stories quicker

Just get a job to 85, and u can solo 85% of quests & missions. Also you can read them at your leisure w/o a bunch of no attention span having twits crying that your taking to long.
