The new FINAL FANTASY XI version update is currently on track for an early December release!

The development team is putting the finishing touches on a wide range of content headlined by the long-awaited conclusion of the Wings of the Goddess missions, the next stage of the level cap increase accompanied by a variety of new spells and job abilities, and the new set of job emotes announced at VanaFest 2010.

Adventurers can also look forward to new item storage features, additions and enhancements to Trial of the Magians, new synergy and synthesis recipes and much, much more.

Further details will be announced in the coming weeks, so keep watching this space!

I'm hoping that the item storage features are one of two things (or both):
1. Another Satchel
2. Storage of +1 and +2 Relic AF3 along with +1 AF1 and Relic AF2

But, most likely it'll be the following: Storage of +1 or +2 AF3 but not both, or storage of Magian Trial weapons on Moogle.

Looks more like he's pissed off to me. Look at the steam coming out of his ears.... assuming Galka HAD ears.

Has anyone else's interest in this game just kinda died in between the last update and this announcement?

The galka pup is probably over loading. I lost interest when 14 came out and I've already lost interest in 14 hm....

The first update teaser is usually kinda weak and just tells us what we already knew.

I'm hoping that they're going to add more sets for storage with the npc, or perhaps take the EX tag off of some older items. Some of the campaign items are ok, but hardly warrant an EX tag, especially with no storage option available. And especially since campaign has pretty much died. Another vault/satchel type thing would be nice, but they better not tie it to buying something. Giving furniture its own storage would also be very helpful.

I'm really hoping they're going to do some changes to Besieged and Campaign in this update, but I doubt it'll happen. It's really kind of sad that WoTG is finally reaching the conclusion, but much of its' content died off long ago.

It all sounds very "meh" to me, nothing really exciting plus my interest sort of died a little on FFXI. I haven't played in like 2 months straight...I just thought it was pointless to keep paying if I'm not playing. Red Dead Redemption and zombies are looking more appealing to me at the moment. Having to work uber hard for gear just got old so fast since lvl 80 cap went up. Say whatever you want I'm just sick of having to beat a hard ass NM that needs a billion ppl to kill. I might come back when lvl cap is 99 and we can actually solo some shit.

I know what you mean. For me personally, the previous update brought me back to the game. With ten more levels something ought to be new and fun... Nope, I chose to not do abyssea endgame which left me to about 7 magian weapons to grind on various jobs. I tried a new job that was lvl 1 before, I found it incredibly difficult to find a party and ended up getting stuck around lvl 40ish due to like no other player on the server is playing outside of abyssea for exp it seems(if I return, I'll probably just get to max lvl on the job in abyssea, I have like 500 keys). Now I did try to do some abyssea endgame and it turned out to just be grinding for some TEs and killing NMs with way too many people (we had a full alliance when I tried it and most of the nms were just super easy). Also I don't really like these sneak peak updates. They are unbelievably vague and provide with very little actual information. "Lets put three really small pictures here for some of the players to squint at for a while and a paragraph or two of some vague and general information about the patch!"

Side note, anyone else find it funny how the wotg missions aren't done yet? They released that expansion like 3 years ago lol.

Meh, until level 99 is added I don't see a reason to even consider reinstalling XI myself

I wonder if you think you're being clever and ironic. I wonder if you realize that you are, in fact, not.

It is a good suggestion, I wouldn't mind seeing that either. ^^
