Necro bumping with continued derailment of my own topic just cause it's appropriate to the derailed conversation!!
But seriously... If they ever do Carnage in a movie... They gotta bring back Green Jelly.

I understand movies need to show origins of characters so people who are not familiar with the super hero to get to know them, but I wish they would make a movie that would dip you right into the super hero's prime, with showing like 5-10 minutes of origin at the beginning.
I have seen this too many times, you watch the character gradually grow and actually start kicking a lot of ass at the end of the movie, I want to see the hero kick ass the entire movie. It adds too much drama also. For the new Spiderman movie, they just need to show what happened and then kick off him as Spiderman for quite a while.
Peter Parker is a confident person who is always on top of the situation, even when he isn't. The movies I felt just completely destroyed the character. Nothing but being whiny and emo about something that really is a gift and not a curse, but he treats it like it is a curse.
This is what I want:
Not this:
The Saturday morning may not be the best example, but it does show what Spiderman should be, more action than drama and a confident, positive Spiderman.

Exaaaaaaactly! The Spider-Man films are total snoozefests compared to how they could be if they were true to Peter Parker's character.
Edit: I really hope they show Hal as the epic badass he can be

Superman may be super, Spider-Man may be amazing, but. . . . . . ..
THE HULK IS INCREDIBLE!
Best character ever. Got the whole anti-hero thing going. Plus he could beat any hero out there including superman.

Whaaaaaat >_>
He would rip him in to little pieces.
Hulk goes beat mode on S.H.I.EL.D. hulkbusters which basically all of there technology comes from Stark. Nothing Iron Man could do would phase Hulk.

Depending on what you have read/watched he is only 9-12 feet tall and about 1400 pounds. All im saying is the Hulks power stems from his anger and it just so happens that the Hulk is gifted with infinite rage so therefore his healing cappabilities, endurance, and strength have no limits. I mean come on he has survived in tempurates equivalent to the suns core.
Don't get me wrong Iron-Man is a badass. My point was Hulk is the most powerful/feared "hero" there is.
What did you mean by "He can just turn into the size of a planet"
Just that he gets big as hell?

Taking all super hero things into account like running so fast you turn back time, doppelganger shits, going to heaven to revive a fallen member, etc, that has to be the absolute stupidest thing I have ever heard of in a comic.

All superheroes are Mary Sues. Trying to pick one is like trying to choose the vagina (or the rectal wall, if you're into that sorta thing) that has made you squirt the hardest. Except for lesbians. If you have a uterus, no one cares about your opinion.

Whats better than a huge, muscular, angry rectal wall?

Funny how all of those things happened with one superhero.
But back on topic. Given how Green Lantern was such a great exercise in not giving a shit, I am actually curious and would love to have seen Robert Smigel's version. Jack Black was originally attached to play GL (none of the ones from the comics), and the story was basically a riff on Major Bummer. The script called for a lot of other DC heroes to make cameos to reflect just how much of a loser he is.
