It was just over 2 months since I last logged into FFXI. I've been playing XIV since the release and granted it has it's oppertunities but when I logged into XI today I got a graphics shock, seeing the difference gave me the feeling I was playing my old Atari game.

Does anyone plan on keeping both XI and XIV?

I get a graphics shock when i see blizzrd II look like blizzard I

I get a game play shock when i try log on and log off

i get a graphics shock seeing the same damn thing 10 times in 5 mins

FFXIV sucks

i play both

even though ffxi sucks too right now cuz of anbyssa and everything being abyssa only lest it dont have basic game play bugs.

ill put it this way, i think WoW has better graphics in an overall view. I do not in the since of complexity since FFXIV has all these neat things going on like having your hair move with the wind and nice sky. WoW may copy and paste and in fact i know they do a lot of structure type things are reused but its not on the scale of FFXIV is. you have all these different views of the word in wow like on mounts and such, in ffxiv like ffxi i get stuck on simple bumbs and rocks.

I do like the graphics of FFXIV as a proptye like concept but the overuse in copy and paste, the graphics of spells and such is lacking. like they said they use too much data for one area, they overstepped the boundaries in what they are dealing with.

Update ...

I increased the graphic settings on FFXI to 1280 x 768, I think it defaults at 800 x 600 or somthing like that.

I also increased the text setting from 512 x 512 to 1024 x 1024.

This made a big diffrence for me.
