I can't seem to find out to use it, it was placed in this versions update. But how do you open a window to search for an item.

IF they make an AH like FFXI i WILL quit.
I dont care about comming back to see friends and such, only so much shit i can take.
even if they dont ill bug then they have to fix those bugs with basic combat issues and that will take time away from fixing real issues

And how is an AH system worse than what we currently have? Wards feel like Dynamis.

you dont see how fucked up FFXI's AH is?
this is what i see about people damanding an AH:
" im so lazy i rather have a fucked up economy to screw over crafters"
remeber i did not say "AN ah system", i said FFXI's AH. Knowing SE if they put an AH in it will be like FFXI's, so its better just to tell them we dont want one.

And when the market ward search is open what do you think is going to happen?

nothing? i dont see them saying " oh we are going to make the retaner send you stuff that dont sell in 3 days"
keep in mind, high value stuff is not sold on AH in FFXI, should reflect its failure

I swear to god you have poor foresight. If you're bitching about undercutting so much do you honestly think XIV won't have that when the market wards search function is up and running?

When the search feature appears, it is going to work exactly like an AH.
People will still be able to undercut and overprice items. You are getting an AH here rather SE calls it one or not. So like I said before, FFXIV is indirectly getting the same kind of set up WoW has.

AH will just cut the BS and take us straight to the undercutting ^^, less running around too

So when a REAL AUCTION occurs and an item is not bid on does it sit on the block until someone decides they want to buy it? If an item does not sell at auction the seller receives the item once more, and yes you lose your fee because you wasted their time. That is what they had based the system off of. If something doesn't sell, they don't want it wasting space on the AH server so they kick it back to you on your respective server. If any system is flawed it is the Dbox, you can have tons and tons of shit sent to your Dbox and it seems there is no space limitation. I know a guy who had over 100 1 gil sent to him (yup 100 gil sent in 1s).
Most likely they will make an auction house or retainer search function. You might as well quit because a lot of us want an AH system (myself included) or the retainer searchish thingy mabob.

you must be stupid if you think a search function will incurage people to undercut each other 100 gil at a time till something is worthless.
again i said FFXI AH fails not that an AH system fails
do you understand the difference?
then i said i do not want SE making an AH because base on there track record with repeating mistakes from FFXI they will fuck up the economy somehow by repeating FFXI's AH failure.

Your opinion. Search function alleviates the headache of hunting down the item one is seeking. I'd rather not spend hours trying to track down a weapon or piece of armor.
