So All that is going on is crying about the SP system and it being to easy to level or to hard...

Grinding is game and getting max level is /epeen.... but doing so also means endgame and gear grind...

---------------------------

Do you morons really want to be at the boring gear grind and hours on end waiting for a NM to pop...only to get a bad drop on loot?

OOooooooRRRRRrrrr.....

Would you rather slow down and enjoy the game, make friends, and learn to play so when you change job you level faster than ever?

--------------------------

When XI came out it took even the best of us 6 months or so to level cap...the first NM shells on servers didnt fully form until about 9 months after PC release...

The rest of the community caught up to the hardcore grinders at about 16-18 months after release...

BUTTTTTtttt..........

All people did then was cry about no end game content...so SE gave expansions and more QQ happened,,,

Yall are trying to hard to viagra your epeen and be top level, forgetting that the faster you get there... the faster the game ends and you being crying about no content and it being a gear grind...

--------------------------

Becasue of this...

I hope SE does what Nexon did with Maplestory and vastly increases the amount of SP per level making it a 2 year grind to max level, giving level quests, random quests, monthly events, etc.

If not then the game is dead like all other MMO except Wow... where they learned and did it right... people have things to do at all levels and only at end game do they begin to cry about not enough things to do and it being an epeen gear grind....

How about we make a new epeen..... First to maat cap achievement status.... all jobs 50... One of you gets that before PS3... and ill give ya a super reward... as will SE

PS- Mind the Duck Poop

Ok so if its so LOL.....

Then why are 90% of the topics on every ffxiv forum containung CRYBABY attitudes about problems with the game and complaining about things being to easy or to hard...

Faster you get to max level the faster people cry about nothing to do or it being a gear grind... take it slow and change jobs and you enjoy it at a speed that was intended, as well as making friends.

The forums are empty enough as is with no official one and all server population around 1000. Its ok to do this if they lift the cooldown on sp gains, and add exp bonus for party and chains

Most in game community/friendships are forged by doing endgame content I thought. That's where you are typically with a group long enough to get to know them.

The crowd crying about a game being a gear grind will be a drop in the bucket compared to people crying about the xp grind. Remember when 4k per hour pts were "good"? You do that nowadays and it's agonizing. Makes you wanna turn the game off.

You want to make that feeling permanent, as well as make it take years to finally finish?

I'm with Ryo-go. Go kill yourself.

Not everything in life is free :)

The end prize of obtaining a year or more grind to the top is more than worth it.... remember relics in XI took about 1.5 years for most and that was a fast relic. Many players I knew worked at it for 2 or more years... when they got it.... now that was bragging rights..... with MS you have a smiliar feat by getting to 200 taking 2 years of hard grinding.

Hopefully they dont add junk easy relics like they did in later XI expansions where any wowtard could obtain one.... the prize is worth the time... and the time makes the prize more valueable and we all want BIIIIG epeens.... earn it!

So in the end for FFXIV .... will it be relics and special skillchains.... or sets?

It'll be about making rambus happy. That's all it will be. Might as well give up wanting them to change it now.

Sorry, but I don't want to work for what feels like forever on one damn item.

Depends really, doing the same thing over and over and over and over for one item just feels like a huge time waster to me. And I'm a bit too impatient for chess since I charge right in most of the time.

EDIT: Let me patch this up before the ice storm knocks my cable out again.

I'm all for a challenge, the question is can you consider a test of patience doing the same thing for about a year in a game for a single item a challenge at all? To me games are meant to be just fun, not doing the same thing over and over again to prove to others how patient/stubborn you are. I did that with PLD back in the days of "NIN only" for EXP and I never want to go through a year long hell like that ever again.

FFXIV sucks. If you like how maplestory does it then go play maple story. The gameplay is a lot different and it doesn't suit FFXIV. Not everyone likes to play every single job like it was intended to make you do to an extent and they made a design choice based on that. Making friends blows when you're leveling up btw, endgame content is where its at when you want to make friends.

I still LOL

Iteresting point.... enjoy your gear grind ... good luck not having to grind 100 times for an item.... XI was better when leveling was harder... most all of us agree on that, unless your a wowtard

Not a smart post on your side though...

PS- would love to hear your QQ about how the original relic system worked.... that was real grinding... and people earned it back in the day :)

Yes because killing the same thing over and over for a 10% drop sure is "fun"

I have to agree with this. I barely remember any of the friends I made while leveling (except for people who helped me with quests and the like), but I can name almost everyone I have ever done any sort of endgame event whether it be sky, Fafnir, or Odin.

first off you are the one asking for a grind, so what does that mean? that replay has nothing to do with what i said.

about ffxi, Yes and no.

yes leveling is too fast now in ffxi. I do not say that because i make less friends like that, I do not say that because I feel the game should have a longer life based on the langh of a grind.

I say leveling is too fast in FFXI because it breads idiots, all they do is leech exp and not learn how to do thier fucking job.
I saw a 55 PLD in gear I want to puke, then i found out later he had a 85 whm, and he compained about not having gil.

FFXIV is not the same game, for now the grind NEEDS to be smaller. right now FFXIV is based on griding levels and a game should not be like that. there is no deph to that past omgz i got 15- 50 jobs before anyone o pwn jooo

not exactly, i compain about FFXI more, for FFXIV i made a list of things that needed to changed and most where adressed in the major update.

the big things in ffxiv to allow it to have a playable stance ( not contant ill leve it up to them since i have no clue on the direction they want to go)
as follows:

combat system, in general its still a mess, its too slow. I think the game is too laggy to handle the stamina system, maybe take it out or rework how to limit actions? maybe not limit actions and change how mobs act? make it fast paced like originally advertised. (WOW only limits on recasts and you have these cycles you do, lag does not limit your performance much, unlike FFXIV)
mark balance.
re think the bold synth change
retainer lag/ market search/ other things SE said they are addressing.

I only want to show how bad the mark imbalances can be and i say stuff because if SE knew they would of said something about it already.

regardless what i think of FFXI or FFXIV or how i complain about them, i never said FFXIV levels too fast, you had no business stating my name in a way that reflected an option to be in agreement/disgreement with the OP. You made it sound was agreeing with him by stating I complain about every aspect about the game. That or you could made it sound like he had no right to post this because what he says is in disagreement with my views. Whatever your intent was you have no business stating my views when its most likey not my view.
