The fuck is he even saying? I'm not sure if this kid is butthurt and calling me a sheeple cause I'm saying Evasion builds are stupid (in actually I'm pretty sure EVA THF is the majority not the minority), or if this is just spamming for hits on his terrible conspiracy theorist Youtube vids.

Phyrexius is no longer part of this equation.
And AGI is better.

Well at least AGI comes with some sort of subtle blow effect now.

The way they made it "dependent" on damage is pretty stupid. It still punishes badly geared THFs but it doesn't really reward true damage optimization.

Before the update, I considered enmity to be part of the TH equation. So I actually used SA and TA and the occational Soul Eater with decent results. Oddly enough, I'm the type to do this with Thief Knife mainhanded.
Now that dealing damage is mandatory, can I drop the thf knife for a better dmg dagger?

The change to TH is as follows:
When you first strike a mob a base TH is applied according to your gear/atma/natural traits. Afterwards the *first strike* of your *main hand dagger* has a small chance to elevate the TH further. Sneak Attacks and Trick Attacks have a greater chance. Stacked WS do not elevate TH.
Assuming that the only change they made this update, it seems the following was true about TH previously:
1) It's a debuff and you can kick the THF out of the party after it is applied
2) The atma gives +1 the same as gear
3) You can take off TH+ after hitting it once / you can put it on at the end and apply it before the mob dies (i.e. don't have to full time THF Knife and Armlets)

These were all well known facts before hand.

I don't think the atma bit was known to be equivalent to TH+1 per-se, prior to this update.

Debuff was actually semi disputed... and apparently for good reason.
It appears if the THF dies, TH can reset in some instances. Someone in my shell had TH up to 5, died and got back up and the effect procced it to 3 instead of 6. But in other instances we've had a THF dc out of the game, come back, and TH was the same. So back to speculation.

So since I'm not playing right now... is there a status message that says, "X's Treasure Hunter has reached level 4 on the Big Bad."?

"Additional Effect: Your Treasure Hunter effect rises to Level X"
It only says when it rises. When you first hit it, it will apply whatever level of TH you have (including gear and atma) but won't say. If you change gear it will increase up but won't say it, but it will rise to 6 instead of rising to 4 when you do get it.

Trying to comprehend this...
