im looking to buy a decent computer to play ffxi... i've been playing for about 5 years now and im done with the "ps2 limitation" stuff... the comp i have will run ffxi but its pretty laggy in towns and such. any recommendations for a decent desktop that will run ffxi at a good fps and not cost an arm/leg?

Any type of dual core or better with 3gb+ of ram and a not shitty video card, preferably something 9k or better if a Geforce, and whatever the analog would be on that other brand I can't remember.

Just about any computer around 200ish would work I'd assume. If you see things that are in your price range just post the specs of it.

Grab an ATI video card, some of the newer Nvidia ones have weird issue that causes horrid frame rates for FFXI. Other than that, anything on the market ought to be more than capable of running FFXI without issue.
