The mortal combination nostalgia + friends asking for return worked, so i'm back in vana'diel with my fierce pup. But i feel a little confused after all this patchs XD so i'm asking some renewed-noob questions :
1)what's the best new weapons ?
2)war and nin was the best subs (melee wise),some changes here ? Maybe lolsam ?
3)af3 is insane D: but what on the other slots ? expecially in rings and earrings
4)a pup 90 can solo dyna-qufim for the long-wished pantin cape ? XD

1. Most likely some new version of Magian trials weapon, though I am not sure which one at level 90 because I haven't looked.
2. Depends on the situation and what Atmas you have. NIN is still the best defensive sub, DRG will be the best offensive sub if you need the wyvern earring to cap haste, otherwise it's probably a toss up between /WAR and /SAM depending on if you have Stringing Pummel or not.
3. AF3 everywhere you can. Depending on your atmas, either normal ACC/ATK stuff and other things like Rajas if you don't have any good Atmas, otherwise pretty much just stack STP and ATK after you cap Haste when you do get the good atmas.
4. Probably, but I doubt it would go very well, and you'll never beat the boss. Buy a glass, bring 6 friends, ????, Pantin cape. However, it's possible that this cape has been replaced by now for PUP, but I don't care to look acause meh.

Lastly, go read up on Abyssea, and more specifically Atmas and lights. You'll spend 95% of your time inside Abyssea if you're serious about end game things, so it's good to be familiar with how to get around and how basic things work.

1)what's the best new weapons ? magian. either the fire path for str+attack ones for ease, or if youre wanting best, go for empyreon/empyreon -1
2)war and nin was the best subs (melee wise),some changes here ? Maybe lolsam ? there is no toss up between sam and war. sj choice is still the same, /drg is viable if you're not at haste cap, ninja if your pt cant handle cures, in abyssea /war should be fine.
3)af3 is insane D: but what on the other slots ? af3 boots are only good for nuking, theres a kemas earring which gives 2 str and 4 acc, a new pup af3 belt with 6 haste, rings, rajas and acc ring, or dex 6 ring for tp. brutal is always your friend. the pup af3 necklace is good if you dont have faith to boost your base damage by 1 (if it will-dependent on skill)
4)a pup 90 can solo dyna-qufim for the long-wished pantin cape ? XD- no, boss would destroy still, or sub bosses, however you can get a new mantle that gives 6 acc to you and pet +12 acc, karagoz mantle

honestly the game hasnt changed that much, it just seems like theres a big leap. everything is in abyssea, and really in there it's more about atma than gear.

I only mentioned /SAM because it is so easy to either cap or come close to capping ATK with just spammable temp items, as well as RR and GH atmas further devaluing attack.
