The development team is pleased to announce that Mr. Mizuki Ito, director of the Abyssea series of battle area add-ons and creator of a wide range of battle content to date, will be taking over the helm as director of FINAL FANTASY XI.
Assisting him as associate director will be Mr. Yoji Fujito, known to players as the creator of the Trial of the Magians and chocobo raising systems.

Quote
It is an honor and a privilege to be given this opportunity to assume the role of FINAL FANTASY XI director from my colleague Mr. Matsui.
With my experience on the team, I understand how deeply our players treasure the memories they have made over eight-plus years in Vana'diel, and I will do everything in my power to see that the greatest adventures are still yet to come.
Mizuki Ito
Director, FINAL FANTASY XI
As associate director, I look forward to working with Mr. Ito to guide FINAL FANTASY XI into its next great age of adventure.
Though the challenge is a daunting one, we will endeavor to create content that offers new challenges and rewards for all adventurers who call Vana'diel home.

Abyssea director, FUCK YEAH!
Magian grinding assistant director, uh...yeah? So long as he didn't create chocobo racing/the evolith system...

Magian dude...ugh. I guess we can expect more moogles in lieu of any attempt to create meaningful NPCs and more stupid trials.

I would like to see if any of these new guys actually play this game? It would be a refreshing change of pace if they had an actual fan (within the organization and part of the XI team) to take the lead so that they would show some enthusiasm towards keeping the game alive and in a ordered state.

It seems like people who have some knowledge of the game are at least creating the new content now at least.

I wouldn't mind this so much if they didn't cram 20 Moogles into 10 cubic feet of space. The lag in Maat's area is ridiculous at times, between people doing limit breaks, magian weapons, armor and emotes... They need to either move some of these Moogles to a new spot in Ru'Lude or make a new area in Jeuno just for them because it's getting cramped in there.
Edit: Actually, adding in a new level to Jeuno wouldn't be a bad idea. Right above Ru'Lude they can add in Moogle Gardens, where all the magian Moogles are spread out in a luxurious, bonbon filled garden.

But that area will be laggy as hell instead of Ru'Lude, which doesn't fix your problem.

Also, Moogle gardens? That's some gay level shit.

If the Moogles were spread over an area equal to the size of Ru'Lude or any other Jueno zone instead of stuffing half a dozen Moogles and 50-80 people into an area the size of a broom closet the lag wouldn't be nearly as bad. And you're damn right that shit's gonna be gay. I plan on there being fountains of rainbows and shit in there. Maybe a unicorn or two. It's a Moogle haven.
