Never tried Aion myself, but I heard RMT overran the game. My friend talked me into trying Guild Wars 2 when it comes out.

The devs told us that "you dont have to participate in PVP if you dont want to". On top of making it a "PVPVE" game, which few people got what that meant at the time. The reality was that the Abyss(lvl 25 area) has all the good quests and loot and exp but its free PVP. Gank fest. There are also "rifts" that open up to the other side of the world that lets people go to into enemy territory and kill people freely. It sucked.

Aion is fucking rad/ the pvp is fun. It IS a pvp game. The abyss is the whole game. If you don't like pvp, aion isn't for you, because it is a faction vs. faction game. Plus if someone from a game that is a little more difficult plays it, we tend to kick everyones ass/ own endgame. The game has been active for like 2 years + now, how am I the only one that understands that you need a gear set for every situation?

The PvP was addictive, however, the grinding sucked big time. Anyway Minecraft is a fairly addictive game, it's even better on a multiplayer server that isn't full of jack offs.

It becomes quite annoying when you are trying to finish up this monster and you get ganked by 4 other people who are atleast 10 lvls higher than you. Although, I would give the players the benefit of the doubt since the level of the enemy is not displayed, but you tend to learn to estimate ppl's lvls after a while.

Regarding the gear change in Aion, it wasnt as effective as FFXI nor was it as easy to completely change your gear within seconds. So I guess it wasnt that popular.

I just think it's retarded that as soon as a spirit master pops up, everyone in my group fucking gets feared but me; or alternatively, people meleeing in full Spell Resist gear full time. They actually nerfed Spell Resist recently though, no way to really fear proof yourself anymore unless you're an Assassin.

That's one thing I liked about WoW is that you know when you choose the server you start on. It just bugs me when people choose to join a PVP server and complain about being ganked. I can see it if you're level 20 and someone 60 levels above you kills you then thinks they rock at PVP. A game that's PVP all around can be a big turn off.
