just found out that you can get atma of the griffon claw from Excenmille quest in altepa (told ya it was to do with the young griffons!)
but I wanna ask what mixes ppl have been using on atmas

I found that Razed Ruin, Voracious Violat and Omgea/Alpga were my favs

and now we can get 3 atmas with 7 zone boss clears. om nom nom

Gonna go out on a limb and say RR/VV/GH will be accepted as top dog soon, but I haven't even looked at the new atma so don't quote me on that.

I don't see anything about it confirmed on BG, just speculation. Is this 4 CEREAL? And If so, amount of WS DMG? I'm actually thinking of using VV/Alpha/Griffin for general use in Abyssea considering my ATT wouldn't be capped without BRD/COR buffs (would only be about ~960 full time with those three atmas if scythe/g.sword skill is only +50), and my DMG with VV/Alpha is spread out as 35% melee/65% WS as it is. (It was ~45%/55% respectively with VV/RR.)

I have been using RR/GH/VV up since I got my third lunar. I think I will quest this and try out RR/GH/GC. FFXIAH forums reported a 20% /ws boost and +10 skill.

Why GH over Alpha? Unless you are tanking? GC doesn't sound too promising but let me know how it works out.

Bear in mind that I'm using 9% DA in gear (Brutal/pole grip/AF+1 helm) for TP, so ~5% DA for "major" on VV, and about half that (2.5%) for "major" TA on Alpha and Omega. I'd test just Alpha and Omega for TA, but I'm about to go to bed. I'll test Alpha + griffin when I get Quietus and griffinclaw atma to see how it squares up. Also, Kparser lists me as having Kick attacks...dunno why...

90% of the time I take drk into abyssea I am tanking.

Also, from the parses that I have seen isn't TA from AO around 5% or less? So its capping crits w/ RR/GH, +50 AGI for cata and a little chance at countering vs. 50 atk and <5% TA.

I have not tested it completely myself so I cannot completely attest to AO but I do plan on it when I am not drk/sam tanking something.

Ya I played with Alpha this weekend and its nice procing criticals 3 times in a row, but nothing special.
