I have always loved his artwork for Final Fantasy 1-6 and his other various works, and seeing these great pieces of art come to life feels like a step up and never imagined he would do something like this. I look very forward to watching this when it comes out in the spring. The story sounds simple so far, and hopefully it will develop from it. Apparently a samurai from the 19th century named Zan who gets sent to an alternate universe. Here is a tad bit more information about it.

This could be a major hit, or a total disaster, but Amano has never been known for half-assing his work. So it does give me confidence that this can pull through. But seeing as this is his first time doing this, it could go in all directions.

Only thing I don't like about Anamo's work is how thick the lines are under his characters eyes, which makes it look like eyeliner and they also look like they wear lipstick every now and then.
