So, I talked myself in to believing that Verethragna can be somewhat easy to obtain if I know what I'm doing. The thing is, I don't. I'm pretty much going to be doing this by /shout farming NM's for key items until I build up to Chloris/Ulhuadshi/Dragua. Once I have the pops for any of those three, I'll /shout for a group. All items will be free-lot except for, of course, the items needed for the trial. That's my plan, as crummy as it sounds. Unfortunately, I don't have an Abyssea LS. Hell, I don't have a LS at all.

And this is why I'm here. I'm not looking for help obtaining the items; I plan to do a whole lot of /shouting for a very long time for that. I just need help understand the NM's and the easiest/fastest way to building pop sets for each of the three NM's.

I do, however, have lots of questions. For starters...

Is this even possible? I mean, I don't want to waste my time or the time of others. But on paper, collecting key items to pop the big three NM's seems pretty simple as long as I can put together a competent group.

Is there anything I seem to be over-looking? From the looks of it, I kill a few NM's, collect a few key items and pop a bigger NM. Rinse and repeat. That's pretty much it, right?

What is the quickest/easiest path to take in order to pop the three NM's? I'd like to start with just Chloris and see how that works for me. If I'm able to obtain the 50 Chloris bud's, then I'll go for the rest. Any suggestions?

I noticed that these EX items don't stack. Once I do eventually begin to collect them, would the Magian Moogle store them for me, or am I going to need a lot of inventory space?

And, if this all just seems unattainable..

How the hell do I go about obtaining Coin of Advancement's to at least get Victory Smite? I don't understand all this Walk of Echo's talk.

Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

Popping the NMs are more of a hassle than the NMs themselves.

Chloris can be duo'd by mnk and whm.

Ula can be triod mnk whm brd.


Chloris is the biggest cock block because it takes 4 key items to pop and I don't think any of the NMs drop anything worth a fuck. (though they can all be duo'd mnk and whm, you're not going to have a good shot at red !!, so will take multiple kills per key item).

As for walk of echoes. It's an open battlefield, like campaign or besieged.

The problem with this is that means anyone can come in and start lotting your shit (Unless they try to join after 51% of the run is completed, because the zone becomes locked at that point).


Your main zones will be confluxes 1 2 and 3, as they are the simplest.

1 and 3 are your solo zones. You can go in solo some mobs, hope for drops. Lower drop rates than bosses and clears.

If you have a small group, do conflux 2. Can be done with 4-5 competent players. Boss mobs have higher coin drop rate than babies, then you get bonus crates at the end, which has a chance for pouches, which are multiple coins (kind of like alex pouch in salvage for alexandrite).

I can go into more detail if you like, but that's about the gist of it.

basically at this point just got WoE weapon. Vere obviously is a lot better, but we live in abys now and everything will melt with WOE weapon. I really can't see the point in going for vere now since the dmg between them and Woe+2 are to similar, and really doing 4500 dmg smites or 5k dmg smites really isnt a big deal to me lol... but I have become more lacks sinc ethis game has been put into easy mode and you can nearly do shit naked and still rock.

Don't start spouting crap you don't know about. The occasionally deals double damage was a 20% proc rate at 80, and is either the same or more at the current level cap, and can fairly easily be kept up all the time (sans imps or other random mobs). That's going to translate into approximately the same difference that Spharai had over Destroyers at 75 cap, just to put that into perspective.

Mandy is the cock block without a doubt. His drops are terrible and he takes 4 KIs, although you cam chest farm them. We are doing a LS scythe (same path) 35/50 buds and its hard enough keeping people motivated in that zone. The way the game is set up now I think the WOE path is sound advice. Even if you got 85 vere the dragon isn't going to be much fun.

Am I the only one who thinks that Dragua is the easiest/quickest to finish? The key item is easy to acquire and the NM itself is a joke (duo/trio). This NM motivated me to finish Verethragna instead of just going for Revenant fist.

It would depend on your resources, which path you take, if you can get atleast 4 friends to help you with farming up mandy KIs, it shouldnt take you long. Thats a minimum of 5 buds per run. Bringing war and nin with max weapons would help proc red much faster. You cant really offer anything to ppl for that zone sadly. Fangs are going to be easier to do, and atleast it drops +2 items you can give out to ppl for coming. If you cant find friends to dedicate a few nights for you, best to just go with the WoE unless you can think of a way to get ppl to want to go do Tah. Canyon.

Yes. I can't speak for Dragua, but Orthrus is a complete and utter joke. I can't imagine Dragua possibly being any easier.

Yeah esp with the temp item being 100%....he's easier lowman then with an alliance.

nah it won't go that fast. I don't have that kind of help on a regular basis. Most of the time it'll just be me and my mule. And it took 3-4 hours to get those pops. and we got 2 2 2 1 i think . Did 2 this morning that i farmed on my own got 1 bud each. Solo farming the pop sets take much longer and no TH there on kills is meh, so yea will take a while for me to finish.

Its not even worth popping the NM without a THF. We just finish a kannagi and masamune 80s in two and a half days worth of farming. We had. 14 single drop NMs and 7 of those were without TH.

yea i know, i just shout for a thf now and see if they want any of the other drops. Even if it's a gimp thf knife only thf, that's all I need rly. 45/50 w/ 2 pops sitting on my char. Popping them in a few hours.

Jan 2 to 13th isn't too bad considering the major bulk of it was just me + mule. Had help a few runs, but those were far too little in between.
