you are talking about 2 different things and are aguring like it is one thing.

yes having seasonal events is interesting and periodic other events can be interesting.

does programing events take time away from fixing the game? it could, should it? no.

IF SE can do both thats fine, but like corgie said i would perffer them fix bugs if they don't have time for both, in the current state anyway.
