Inside Abyssea, treat it like Gekko. Outside, treat it like Kaiten.

Its still attack starved in Abyssea. Rcurry alone alone is boosting damage 400 points. Fudo trashes XP mobs but struggles on the harder stuff. Im currently running.
Masa/rose//threw
twilight/snow/triumph/brutal
byrnie+1/heafoc/rajas/pyrosoul
unkai/snow/af3+2/af3+2
I know moonshade would be a bettter earring and hachiryu for legs. Im using af3+2 legs for the stp.

It either has a pdif penalty (unlikely) or you're not using temp items like should.

I don't XP so all I do is NMs so temps aren't always refreshed. Its doesn't have a pdif penalty just no buff like gekko. On igebind with rcurry and minx2 I was still getting better numbers from gekko but the AM from fudo was pulling it slightly ahead. I was able to break 6k a couple times while farming pop items but 1500-2k is normal on the T2s. Kinda sucks when my LSmate is averaging 3300 ukkos on the T2s.

What atmas are you using?
w/ berserk up(should have 999att+:
Vhelm/snow/str.ear(moon is best)/Brutal
Twilight/heafoc/rajas/pyrosoul
Fortis/snow/hachi/af3+2
w/ berserk down(and you KNOW your attack is NOT capped):
Vhelm/snow/moon/cent earring(10att)
Byrnie+1/heafoc/rajas/pyro
Unkai/beir belt+1/hachi/af3+2
I find Apoc/VV/smiting blow to be the better atma combos. If you are constantly holding your tp always, A&O or RR would be better than SB.
And yes an attack earring is better than brutal if your attack is uncapped on fudo, esp with Apoc atma. Unkai mantle is generally better than atheling mantle unless you get the lowest mod from it, either way a wash. Fortis is better with attack cap. Beir hq is slightly better than ele. since you are still getting attack from it under non attack cap conditions, Getting max str mods may or may not push it over ele belt in max attack conditions aswell. Either way hq beir non attack cap, ele belt attack capped is a good way to go about things. If we get new content outside abyssea one day, hq beir all the way anyways.

Yea I personally didnt get to fudo Isa, but from another member fudo sam reported it wasnt doing too well. He actually preferred gekko in that case. The other wars were doing RR and doing better than him sadly, however he did say half the time roars were wiping his buffs too quick.... least if SE makes new content outside of abyssea, you can safely say Fudo > fury .

Been playing with it every chance I can. On hard mobs, VV,RR,AoA will parse the best. Fudo wont be maxed but the AM/crit boost overall damage more then just spamming gekko. For XP/seal lvl stuff VV/SB/AoA is def the combo. Thanks for the post! Half way done with hearts, lvl90masa should be even more fun.

Yep pretty much, it seems to jump from apoc/vv/SB and apoc/vv/rr being the better combos for fudo sam. I dont know if you remember me posting about that last time to kine when he was doing the sam atmas on the other forum. Im asking him now though to see if ODD is added to the weapons on the spreadsheet(just b/c it feels like it isnt) which would explain why RR does better on higher def mobs. As you would need something like 540+ defense on a mob(with diaII) to even comepare to SB, but if ODD isnt being counted I can see this bringing the bar down lower and explaining why its better on harder mobs. Either that or some mobs have rediculous amounts of defense...

Wait, yall aren't using RR? lol
Its really depends on what you're doing on SAM. On hard mobs sure, on XPish mobs DoT wont do squat when its 3-4 swings then a 3-6k WS. If Ruby is a problem which is rarely the case anymore then RR would again be better. Seal farming while holding for yellow I focus on WS atma since once yellow is proced I can pop off 4 or 5 WSs in a row.

I find it hard to believe that any melee is better without RR, but I really can't be fucked to do the math for this shit right now so I'll just take you for it.
