Can things get any worse for this country? Seriously, condolences to everyone affected, and hope Japan makes it out better this time. The word is, there is also a Tsunami warning as well, and the affected area is similar to the one on March 11th. I swear I couldn't make this stuff up in my worst dream.

CNN doesn't have an article available, but says it on thispage. When a description of the events is available, I'll post it.

Think the quake has been downgraded to a 7.1.

Unfortunately, as geologist said, the earthquakes in the area won't end before at least 2 months at best..

Yeah, a big one will set off a lot of "smaller" ones for awhile afterwards.

Give or take several million years.

Yeah... you guys know that Japan gets hit with earthquakes as often as California does, right? There generally isn't a reason for even a moderately powerful one like this to hit the news circuit, but the ongoing devastation from the big one a couple weeks ago makes it seem more relevant.

this wasn't even an earthquake, they considered it an after shock.
