I want to play FFXIV, but before I got buy the software I want to know if anyone has had any problems with running boot camp here's my setup
2011 Macbook Pro
2g RAM
32 bit
2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

I was asking around and I've heard XP is the best for it, but I've also heard people prefer Vista and does anyone use a Xbox 360 controller for their PC? Anyway thanks for your time and your input!

Wow full of retard in this comment. Here is a real answer.

Those specs may be fine, but will probably have to put it on really low settings. XP or 7 will work fine on it. Also, the 360 controller is a viable controller to use.

FFXIV is at a state right now that it is definitely worth playing for free. The game has gotten a substantial amount of updates and fixes since the new development team came in. Not to mention the game is getting into Grand Companies this month, and the battle system changes along with instance dungeons for end game will be coming in June. The servers are slowly growing back and has a decent size community. The adjustments to the EXP/SP system make the leveling experience a lot more enjoyable, especially if you are playing with friends. The list goes on. The game still needs to get itself in proper place, but I think it will have it's big turn around in June, hopefully.

As cheap as the game is right now and not being charged monthly till PS3 release, which hasn't even been announced yet, I don't see why you shouldn't try it out if you are curious.

RIFT is a good game if you acknowledge it pretty much copy and pasted someone else's success. It is a breath of fresh air if you are done with WoW, but simply that. It is unoriginal in almost every way and will do nothing to break the mold in the MMO community. None-the-less, it is still fun, but it is borderline copyright infringement, haha.

This might give you problems. Most people I've talked to are running an i7 or a 6 core processor.

Go ahead, play the game. Everyone thinks different so you never know if you might actually enjoy it.
