Went to load up my FFXI account and it says it was banned...called up support to find out what the deal was and basically getting the run around with them refusing to tell me why it was banned or how to unban it so I might be starting all over again....which is why I'm here lol...

Was originally on Unicr0n server but apparently its getting merged with fenrir and like 90% of the people already quit so was wondering what this servers population is like. Really enjoyed the game but don't really want to come back if it will end up being hours on end of just sitting with my flag up or soloing for low xp :/

Apparently it's nothing like that now due to level sync, abyssea and some other things

Just latch onto a buddy or 2nd toon or at the very least a solo-style job and u can level it in no time. Just make sure to think about getting skills up because you will pass them by

Well I started playing the other day. Got to level 30 in less than 24 hours. Only used the Novennial XP ring twice, and I was in my 20s by then. Used a Chariot Band once and I was in my 20s as well. Level synced in a group for shits and giggles in Valkrum..Went from 18-27 in the same group. Got the rest of those levels easily afterward.

Is it really that easy to level up early-on now? I read elsewhere that someone got to level 37 in a day and a half. I've started over twice on FFXI already and the whole subjob/Norg fame/rank 5 routine gets a bit old, but if I can level up that quickly it may be worth doing again.

I'm not the type of person (anymore) who will play this game non-stop, but I will put some time into it and with my exams now over I have too many free hours over summer and I wouldn't mind pouring some of them into FFXI.

I'm only not going back to my old accounts because I want to buy the whole FFXI package from Steam (with that cool lil reraise/regen/movement speed/skill-up hat) and play a hume rather than my taru or elf - I did get pretty bored of running round as my tiny guy with zero HP and my lanky elf; I'd have no complaints with a hume.

It is rather easy to level up now. I got from 1-19 in like 2-3 hours. The hat and unlimited page's is a huge plus. Also the exp recieved is alot better now.

Over the weekend I got THF50, DNC43, and RDM30. Leveling is remarkably fast now. Money is a little harder to make, and old gear isn't worth as much (which is good, if you're starting fresh) because everyone's using Abyssea gear now.

I'm having fun, though. Its nice to speed through the levels that were stupidly time consuming and get to the good stuff. Its satisfying to imagine being able to solo most of the important quests. I don't want them to be easy, but being able to do them without having to wait hours for a group to form will be invigorating.
