Think SE will come out with a new expansion for FFXI? new citys, new jobs, new story?

Expansion? Yes. No city or jobs, no. New story? Not unless they hire the old director back.

Expansions and story maybe but not jobs or cities due to the PS2 still in the mix if Square did away with the console then maybe.

For SE to revamp and continue this game on the PS3 or PC,it would force them to admit that 14 is a flop and I highly doubt they will want to do anything that would give off that idea let alone admit to it in any way. Just going over the statements they have said since 14 came out tells me they are ashamed at how bad the game has been.

So although it would be nice to see at least as revamped game for PC and PS3 with a new look. I doubt that is even a option for them.

Sony announced a few months ago that their new strategy for making money - since they are now getting close to the red - is to produce a third MMO. That means, FFXI will continue in its current state. Reading into it, though, it suggests the possibility of a new expansion at some point.

What does Sony have to do with it, or did you mean SE? If so, then yea I remember reading something about that a while ago as well.

Closest I could about anything that deals with FFXI living on.
I did find another note about testing being done on the PS3 for this game although it just said testing,nothing about the game coming to the PS3.
