Hey There. I'm a returning player from two years ago. Can anyone provide any additional information as to the reason I keep getting a Registration Server is busy or my credit card information isn't right? I've double checked and tried using a different card but same message.
UCS-60257
I've spoken to support about 10x, each one having a different answer.
One said to check my security settings, done.
One said to call my bank and check, done. They said its on their side.
One said to check my info was identical to bank statement, done.
etc
I've been trying to play for 5 days now. I wont be trying many more before I just say this is the reason I quit in the first place.

Hi there, same trouble here. I thought to myself this morning. Hey I realy wanna reactivate my ffxi account.
Found my CD's ( yes the ones from EU release
) installed. Updated POL. And must edit my visa card, since the one registerd expierd earlier this year. And havent played ffxi in 1 year on the date
Ive tried 5 different cards now. 2 MAstercards I own, 2 visa cards i got. and my wifes visa card. NOTHING works. Cant contact support since they are closed in weekends
And whats stated in the new on the link Ryo-go posted = players who had their ID's cancled. Mine was cancled and havent been actvie in 1 year. And its impossible to update my payment info...
So frustrating , I was realy hopin g I could play tonight.. Also went to a RL friend and copied his ffxi folder , so I dont have to run a 5 hour +++ update when I GET TO REGISTER MY PAYMENT INFO!!!

Could have something to do with earthquakes or godzilla or something.. who knows.

Its after the fantastic July 2 update they did. And something then went horribly wrong. Just talked to customer support.
And yeah, customer support dude said this
"Its a known issue, we are working on it, we are very sorry. We will contact you when its solved."
I then ask if he can just give me 1 month free playtime, so I can get ingame. But apperently the customer support aint got the possiblities to do this on his "database" lol... Talk about service
Well I havent played ffxi in a year , so whats the problem waiting a few more days ? I ask myself.. It is a problem since I got vacation now and realy realy wanna play now
Well well ill try entering my Visa card every now and then I get the time. Still no luck...

I had that issue on this month's billing. I waited through the weekend, contacted SE through live chat and it got fixed.
Funny thing is that they only charged me 43 cents for this month.
Win.
