So I just rejoined FFXI yesterday and everything has been working perfectly with the exception of my mog house. I cant really explain what has happened so i'll just post screen shots.
This wouldn't really bother me to be honest but I can leave, though I can target the door but when I choose to leave nothing happens and I can no longer move.



If anyone has any idea how to fix this that would be great.
Also note that I have re-installed it and I'm using the Steam/PC version.

EDIT: If possible I can settle for just a proper way to leave the mog house, I dont have much for it yet and just being able to leave it would make me happy enough.

EDIT: This is also the Jeuno mog house if it makes any difference.

Use the POL file checker.

Same thing happend to me when I installed FFXI through Steam. I also can't use some books. They are named as "NPC" and some items are fucked and other files.


You'll need to run a file check on POL, if it freezes like it did to me, you'll have to reinstall

Yeah the NPC thing was happening to me also, in quite a dire area. I have decided to reinstall; I made sure that this time I deleted EVERYTHING from the steam folder instead of just doing the "Delete Local Content..." option. I'll update this thread when I find out how this worked for me so people and the future can see.

Im encountering a new problem after reinstalling I got the error -1155 while trying to do the POL update, which isnt odd for me this error seems to come and go and I have no idea why but it happens when im patching. Anyways I decided to trying restarting POL because the error wasnt going away for me, after i reopened it once I hit the "next" button to start updating POL it crashes giving me "PlayOnline Viewer has stopped working" so i decided using the POL file checker would fix this but I have no idea where its located, I even tried google lol.

EDIT: Don't worry about this, I had forgotten that I had a backup of an updated POL and it works just fine.

Just finished reinstalling/patching and that did not fix anything, people still show as NPC, monster have the wrong names, I cant talk to some of the FOV books. This is pretty ridiculous.
