I miss the days when those gears mattered. We actually had fun acquiring them, spending the day as a LS knowing everyone will benefit. Things just seem stale now. No more exp parties really makes things boring for me.

I think Limbus and Sky raids are what I miss the most. I'd have to dig up some pictures somewhere, I know I have them from years ago.

Another thing funny about this thread and reading it almost a year later exactly, is the launch and fail of some of the games mentioned. Tera, great for first month and then blew, SWTOR...yeah. So I guess the relaunch of FFXIV is where it's at. See you folks in Eorzea (orz...)

Oh hey vittra, hows the adaberk drk doing? After I was salvage banned I played WoW, Aion, Tera, lots of LoL, FFXIV and im actually back in XI as of 3 months ago. Started over and its been a nice return dont see a lot of old people on anymore, or I just dont recognize re rolls.

some WTFDynamis was our first run in the glacier. I remember Kingpred spamming me to take as many screenshots as I could.


After the huge RNG nerf and no one could log in we killed Fafnir with a bunch of random people, took forever since most of us were rangers...

I don't have any pictures because ffxi used to be on my old cpu and it got replaced a long time ago. But I thought i'd post a short story of my toons story

But my favorite memory of this game was probably when I started as a warrior mithra in sandy, when the game was simple, and I met some of my favorite people in the early levels.
My first ig friend was Jesiah, some taru, he hated grinding so he quit at lvl 18, but he was a very avid player even though he was new, keeping up with him was always like playing catch up.
The first person who mentored me, and taught me about the game was Wala, and Obelisk, Wala was already a high level ranger, so he had his share of the game, and like many players had quit after getting bored of the content.
I lvled my warrior with obelisks' ranger till 30 with the help of glennx, I was such a noob at the time I subbed /whm with my war.....they didn't judge me though, and in fact loved me for my noobness XD.
I had finallllyyyy unlocked my two favorite class that I would make my main, summoner and ranger.
Throughout lvling ninja, I met Silly, she became my best ig friend, we literally lvled from 43-75 together....her summoner and my ranger. We created a linkshell called farplane, and it went pretty far.
The adventures I've had in this game are very long but those are some of the memorable ones.

Now for memorable people!
Staccatto and his dragoon, no matter how much people kept telling him loldrg he'd continue to perfect it and I always partied with him as my summoner when he lvled blu....was very fun.
Clemor and how much he helped me on his red mage when I didn't know anything about ranking
Misono and his drawings, and how he always played blm with /thf when camping a NM and how he would always include me in events that he was in
Zizzo/mystik and how close we had become as friends and being my lvling buddy for ranger!
Nori and his alchemy always crafting and going on the strangest adventures with me, even though we both would keep getting killed endlessly
Shoruu and domosai and their love for ballista on their monk monk
Megamisama, being the other brave mithra who came to ballista as summoner and made a splash
Arduin and mamimi, how cute they were and how much they helped me understand ranger when I was lvling it
Kittyo, and how strong her ranger was, and the reason I chose to lvl it
Mierli and his bard, I knew it was a guy playing the toon, but his toon always wore a dress and seemed very metro
Donnalee, my favorite linkshell leader, and my very first HNM linkshell, cultivation
Romulous and faith, they invited me to their wedding.....such a strange ig ceremony but that opaline was sure pretty
Lowping, even though he hung out with my sister a lot, he was like my older brother
Inifekt, his nin was probably the best I've ever partied with
Gonix/kashu/savior and the fact they made ballista a challenge, and kept it alive by getting friends to come and participate
xkekiox and his drk/nin, scary....
Nightbear my CoP buddy
Reece and his loyalty to his friends
and last but not least, katalyst, my sister, and her obsession with perfecting every class she had at 75.

There are more people I've met and have left a memory for me but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head.
Looking back honestly, I loved my time in Asura, I did run into some very mouthy people towards the end of my adventures, but that's not what I choose to remember.
I remember the beginning, the excitement of all the content, and all the people who adventured with me and made time in this game enjoyable and the xp grinds less painful .

Just looked at Gamez old pics and had a lil man-cry moment. (Not really.) I miss a lot of you bastards and bastard-ettes. Like Caitlin, I wish I had a way to get in touch with that girl. Sara.. Glowstick. Gamez. Huge list of people haha... That screenshot was of my first day I believe, or damn close. Back to when I cared about G-Axes... Crazy times.
