I played this game once upon a time, but that character is long gone. Is it even worth trying to come back with fresh new slate, no money, no linkshell, no levels? I remember it being one of the hardest things ever to get going in this game. But I know SE has changed a few things, is any of it reasonable? Like I know XP has been increased pretty nicely, and not so bad punishment for dying. But what about stuff like money making too? I've already been leveling a guy just for the fun of it, but... Somehow I don't see any logical way to make enough gil to survive unless I spend countless hours farming just to afford simple leveling gear...

Honestly, from what I've seen on the AH, things have really dropped in price. As a low level, sure it might be hard to get some gear... but not nearly as bad as trying to start out before they raised the level cap.

On the leveling part, it's easy as hell even at lower and higher levels so put a check mark on that, on the LS issue well you can pretty much get a LS anywhere np so check mark that too, now on the money section lemme explain this a bit further. At low lvls we know gear doesn't mean much except for a few things, emp hairpin (which can be hunted), and small crap that won't cost you over 50k most likely, so you can pretty much make your way up to like lvl 30 and start buying crap off conquest points and a few other things. You will eventually get good gear because the best gear in game now is rare/ex so I wouldn't worry too much about gear. Once you hit 90 and soon 95 you will be able to buy abyssea gear with abyssea money, cruor which are a good set of gears. So in a nut shell, if you got the money to reactivate your account go for it is not as bad now it's actually pretty easy.

ATM I'm not playing 'cuase I need the money or else I would even start a second character.

I'm just bored... and XIV sucks. WoW sucks. Need a good MMO, and even though its hard to get into this one, its reliable.

Star Wars: Old Republic is coming out soon. I hear that's a promising MMO. I'm playing WoW here and there until Diablo III comes out, then i'm moving onto that.
