Starting today, we will be conducting a survey on the game client players use to play FINAL FANTASY XI.

How to answer the survey:
After you login to PlayOnline and select FINAL FANTASY XI under "Games", a survey will be displayed. Please place a check mark on the client you use to play FINAL FANTASY XI. (If you use multiple clients to play, please select all that are applicable.)

* This survey will be conducted on all PlayOnline accounts. Once the survey is answered, it will no longer be displayed.

Seems odd to me that they need a survey to see what users use to play XI. I would think they could tell by the they of client that trying to connect.
Even if they happen to drop the PS2 I don't think it would change much, being how the game was built around it.

I doubt they would drop, I think they are gathering data for FFXIV, see how many people actually play on console. Maybe even gathering Data for FF16 or something.

They're not dropping PS2 support ever. It's been a long time since they even used it as an excuse (although it's a good one).
