[Infected Astrix]

I have suddenly experienced a very slow load up of FFXIV when I hadn't before, it takes awhile for character selection to load up then once selected it takes a good 2 minutes to load up the game, once I can see my character certain buttons like Esc, Return, Alt, Numpad - to access main menu take a little longer to load; though running about and turning camera buttons are immediate. This is the first time I have experienced this, before I didn't at all, it was absolutely fine.

Now I haven't done much else to the computer, it is brand new and from what I can remember; the programs I have installed inbetween the time it was fast then slow are these:
AntiCrash (I shall test the game with this off but doubt it is that).
Core Temp
HWiNFO64 (Basically monitors temp and fan rpm and I can hack the fan speed if I want to)
The harddrive is very clean, only used 10% of it's space.
I have however decreased the turbo mode on the cpu due to overheating problems however, I re-tested on and off, no difference which tells me it is something else.
I have a firewall but runs in the background and was on when the game ran fine.
There have been no FFXIV updates before this problem occured.
Anti-Virus/Malware is not running a scan in the background. Double checked.

Server connection might the problem?
My internet connection is fine, its fast and powerful and works fine on other online games.


Not much else I can think of, done regular windows updates.

My system is this:
i7 2630QM 4 core 8 thread 2Ghz
6Gb RAM
GTX 560M
SATA II HDD 7200rpm

So I guess it'll come and go when it pleases? Hmm, well let's hope SE will live up to their word on when they make a future update dedicated to fixing bugs and coding.

It happens when you load into the game for the first time. And I wouldn't expect a fix soon anyway. I can understand Yoshida adding content for current players but until he addresses class balance and the server problems this game doesn't have a chance.

Considering that SE came just short of saying they need to rebuild this fucking game from scratch, you're better off uninstalling and and finding another MMO.

Actually that looks like what will happen in when V2 happens. But ROFL @ Wada thinking people paying in Decemember for something happening in a year is a good idea.

lol i said back in sept 2010 this game sucks head and shaft. after that a bunch of butt hurt fan girls had the mensies over it (two morons above my post) and now they are saying it sucks.

Yeah ain't that the turth! That is funny they and a few other of there retarded buddies that don't post here anymore cause this game is dead, I remeber them crying like babys saying give it time SE is working on it (shut the fuck up dude!) and getting mad because some ppl say the game sucks lol. Look at them now, lol now they say the game suck. Fuckin hypocrites lol! and you know who u guys r!
